Ginny & Georgia<\/em> left the fate of a lot of couples in limbo ahead of season 4 \u2014 but where is each pairing headed next?<\/p>\n

During the season 3 finale, which aired on June 5, Ginny (Antonia Gentry<\/strong>) and Marcus (Felix Mallard<\/strong>) were in an undefined place after he went to rehab. Georgia (Brianne Howey<\/strong>) and Paul\u2019s (Scott Porter<\/strong>) marriage fell apart<\/a>, but now she\u2019s pregnant \u2014 and it could be either Paul or Joe\u2019s (Raymond Ablack<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

Then there is Max (Sara Waisglass<\/strong>), who found herself caught between Silver (Katelyn Wells<\/strong>) and Sophie (Humberly Gonz\u00e1lez<\/strong>), ultimately choosing neither. Norah (Chelsea Clark<\/strong>) remained with Jordan (Colton Gobbo<\/strong>) while Abby (Katie Douglas<\/strong>) explored her feelings for Tris (Noah Lamanna<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

With so many questions still unanswered, Us Weekly<\/em> caught up with the cast<\/a> of the show \u2014 and creator Sarah Lampert<\/strong> \u2014 to find out where each couple is headed from here:<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tIt wouldn\u2019t be a Ginny & Georgia finale without a pregnancy reveal \u2014 but what other bombshells did season 3 end on? During the season 3 finale, which premiered on Thursday, June 5, Georgia (Brianne Howey) was found innocent after Austin (Diesel La Torraca) falsely accused his father of being Tom\u2019s murderer at Ginny\u2019s (Antonia [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Lampert acknowledged that Georgia has several possible love interests<\/a> going into season 4.<\/p>\n

\u201cZion, Paul and Joe each bring something so unique, so specific and so nuanced to the table that they\u2019re each able to really bring out a different side of Georgia,\u201d Lampert detailed. \u201cZion made the right choice to pull his daughter out of the house of someone he realized was a murderer and there was violence and there were guns.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lampert added: \u201cFor Paul, what he went through was really complex and really complicated. That character struggled through whether or not to follow his heart or his brain. It was heartbreaking to see.\u201d<\/p>\n

There is also Joe, whose romance with Georgia became a fan-favorite addition.<\/p>\n

\u201cGoing back to Joe. Your Joe, my Joe, our Joe \u2014 collectively, we love Joe. What\u2019s so phenomenal about Joe is he just is so loyal and he just doesn\u2019t give a s***. He is not going to waver and it doesn\u2019t mean he\u2019s a weak character because he isn\u2019t,\u201d Lampert teased to Us. \u201cHe\u2019s strong in his convictions. We see him really show up for the people that he cares about.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added: \u201cBut we also see him provide a level of comfort and ease, for not only Georgia, but also Ginny, and quite frankly also Cynthia. He\u2019s got a really deep heart and he\u2019s just got those soulful brown eyes and he\u2019s just funny. What\u2019s not to love about a funny, loyal guy who\u2019s going to show up when everyone else ditches you because you\u2019re on trial for murder?\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite the end of their marriage, Porter didn\u2019t rule out a Georgia and Paul reconciliation.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cGeorgia\u2019s still a massive force in his town of Wellsbury,\u201d he noted to Us<\/em> earlier this month. \u201cThey\u2019re going to cross paths and she\u2019s definitely going to be involved in the goings on, so Paul is going to have to face her.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ablack showed his support for Joe and Georgia, telling Us, \u201cIf it were me leading my own life, I would hope to be endgame with someone that I trusted that deeply. I would hope to be endgame with my best friend. I feel like if Georgia is going to tell these kinds of secrets [about herself] to anyone \u2014 it would be to her best friend. That was Joe this year.\u201d<\/p>\n

The actor said \u201cit makes sense\u201d for Joe and Georgia to end up together. \u201cThey should be endgame. But sometimes the most frustrating and addictive thing is to watch someone mess up those very obvious and those right choices that they should make,\u201d Ablack added.<\/p>\n

\u201cMarcus is really valid in not wanting to be with Ginny. Of course, he wants to be with her. He loves her and his love for her is never something to be questioned. But he can\u2019t be with her,\u201d Lampert explained. \u201cWe\u2019re really just scratching the surface of if being loved takes work too.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lampert noted that Marcus will have to address his own struggles with depression and more first.<\/p>\n

\u201cMarcus keeps saying he doesn\u2019t want to feel this way anymore \u2014 he just wants to feel better. He just wants to be normal. But then we see him self-medicate a lot,\u201d she added. \u201cA part of his character that he\u2019s not admitting to himself \u2014 that we haven\u2019t even really explored fully yet \u2014 is, does he actually want to get better? Because if you\u2019re in an active addiction, oftentimes that answer is no, you don\u2019t. He can\u2019t be the version of himself he is right now and be in a relationship with Ginny.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lampert called this point in their story \u201cvery tragic,\u201d saying, \u201cGinny, for her part, she just loves him. They love each other so deeply. Leading with their love for one another is what informs the plot for us. They do love each other so much. That scene where he\u2019s in the waiting room after her abortion, there\u2019s so much unsaid between them. But they\u2019re just a rock for each other always.\u201d<\/p>\n
