Please respect our privacy at this time as our family is grieving. We realize that we are sharing our grief with the world. Love &amp; Mercy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The family also shared a recent photo of Wilson sitting on a park bench.<\/p>\n<p>Within minutes, the post was flooded with thousands of comments from fans sharing supportive words and fond memories of Wilson\u2019s music.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DKxHMogupsf\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"14\" style=\" background:#FFF; border:0; border-radius:3px; box-shadow:0 0 1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.5),0 1px 10px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.15); margin: 1px; max-width:540px; min-width:326px; padding:0; width:99.375%; width:-webkit-calc(100% - 2px); width:calc(100% - 2px);\"\/>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-brian-wilson-s-cause-of-death-has-not-been-made-public\">Brian Wilson\u2019s cause of death has not been made public<\/h2>\n<p>While the family has not yet revealed his cause of death, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2024\/02\/brian-wilsons-health-his-dementia-battle-why-beach-boys-legend-may-need-conservatorship\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Wilson had been battling dementia<\/a> since February of 2024.<\/p>\n<p>In May of that year, his family made the decision to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2024\/05\/brian-wilson-placed-under-conservatorship-due-to-cognitive-decline\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">place Wilson under a conservatorship<\/a> as a result of his decline in cognitive capabilities.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2024\/05\/brian-wilson-today\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Wilson had been open about his struggles<\/a> with mental health and the various physical ailments he endured throughout his life.<\/p>\n<p>The 2014 biopic <em>Love &amp; Mercy<\/em> and a 2016 memoir titled <em>I Am Brian Wilson<\/em> sparked a renewed interest in Wilson\u2019s work, as well as the details of his chaotic personal life.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><noscript><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"706\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.thehollywoodgossip.com\/uploads\/2025\/06\/GettyImages-3089919-1024x706.jpg\" alt=\"American pop group The Beach Boys in 1964.
