Holland told the outlet that working on the show \u2014 in which he plays an antisocial young man arrested after a shooting \u2014 prompted him to reexamine his own mental health.<\/p>\n \u201cLearning about mental health<\/a> and the power of it, and speaking to psychiatrists about [the characters] Danny and Billy\u2019s struggles, has been something that has been so informative to my own life,\u201d he said, noting that he\u2019d become better at \u201crecognizing triggers\u201d and stressors, such as social media<\/a>.<\/p>\n Although the project positively impacted his mental well-being in some ways, the Uncharted<\/em> actor added that the heavy subject matter weighed on him at times.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m no stranger to the physical aspects of the job doing the whole action-movie thing<\/a>. But the mental aspect, it really beat me up and it took a long time for me to recover afterwards, to sort of get back to reality,\u201d he admitted.<\/p>\n Holland recalled one moment when he felt a need to distance himself from his character after nine months of filming.<\/p>\n \u201cI was seeing myself in him, but in my personal life,\u201d he explained. \u201cI remember having a bit of a meltdown at home and thinking, like, \u2018I\u2019m going to shave my head.
