Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford<\/strong><\/a> is a proud dad to four daughters \u2014 but that hasn\u2019t stopped him from thinking about what life would be like with a son.<\/span><\/p>\n

Stafford, 37, addressed the idea of having a boy on the Monday, June 9, episode of wife Kelly Stafford<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s podcast, \u201cThe Morning After,\u201d<\/a> admitting there\u2019d be added pressure to walk in his NFL footsteps.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI thought it would be extra challenging if we did have a boy,\u201d Matthew said. \u201cI\u2019ve known what it\u2019s like to have expectations since I was 15 years old or so, probably. I thank my lucky stars that I didn\u2019t have that from six to 15.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Matthew and Kelly, 36, who got married in April 2015, are parents to twins Sawyer<\/strong> and Chandler<\/strong>, 8, Hunter<\/strong>, 6, and Tyler<\/strong>, 4.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tAfter attending Robin Thicke\u2019s wedding over the weekend, Kelly Stafford has returned home only to find herself at her breaking point. Stafford, 36, and her husband, Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, were in attendance when Thicke, 48, married his wife, April Love Geary, in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on Friday, May 30.\u00a0 \u201cI need [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI was able to just be a kid who could throw a ball a little bit and was good at other sports and had fun and didn\u2019t have to worry about what my Dad did, and whether or not I was going to live up to whatever somebody else thought I was going to have to live up to,\u201d Matthew said. \u201cI didn\u2019t have that until I was somewhat grown enough to kind of figure it out myself.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cIf I had a son or if we had a boy, that was a possibility for a kid to be 8 years old and everybody at the park looking at him going, \u2018Hey, why doesn\u2019t it throw it a little better?\u2019 When I was 8 years old, I didn\u2019t have a care in the world as to what was going on around me.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Matthew also gushed about the memories he\u2019s been able to make<\/a> with his daughters, especially in the midst of the NFL offseason.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI have so many good, sweet moments with my girls,\u201d he said. \u201cBeing a parent, for me, is the least outward facing thing I can do. When I am with them, I am totally focused on them one hundred percent. I could care less about what somebody else is going with their kid, or what kind of cool trip they had.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tAs Kelly Stafford prepared to celebrate her 10th wedding anniversary with husband Matthew Stafford, she candidly admitted things haven\u2019t always been easy.\u00a0 \u201cMarriage is f***ing hard,\u201d Kelly, 35, said on the Thursday, April 3, episode of her \u201cThe Morning After\u201d podcast. \u201cAnyone who tells you differently is f***ing lying through their teeth.\u201d Kelly and Matthew, [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

He added, \u201cMy moments with them are like magic.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
