The 32-year-old singer who has a range of body art has had the word \u201cmuse\u201d inked on her shoulder after describing her mum in the same way during an appearance at the Chanel Tribeca Festival Women\u2019s Luncheon in New York City.<\/p>\n
She was attending the event, held at the Greenwich Hotel Courtyard on 6 June, to celebrate the Through Her Lens programme. <\/p>\n
Speaking to People, Miley said about her new tattoo: \u201cIt says \u2018muse\u2019. And it\u2019s really for her, because my mom is my muse.\u201d <\/p>\n
She added: \u201cMy mom was going to get matching with me, but she was out of town.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nMiley debuted the dainty new shoulder tattoo \u2013\u00a0inked by artist Michelle Santana at Bang Bang Tattoo \u2013\u00a0before the event via Instagram. <\/p>\n
\nThe tattoo adds to her extensive collection of body art, which she recently spoke about in an interview with the New York Times, expressing mixed feelings about some of her older designs.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cA mistake that I made that I still think about is like 80 percent of my tattoos,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n
\nMiley added: \u201cI don\u2019t regret them enough to laser them, but some of them, like… I mean I love my cat, but like, I didn\u2019t need that… there\u2019s just a few I could do without.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nMiley\u2019s \u2018muse\u2019 tribute comes shortly after speculation circulated about a falling-out between her and Tish, 58, when it appeared the singer\u2019s mum had unfollowed her daughter on social media. <\/p>\n
\nMiley addressed the rumours in a statement on her Instagram Stories in May.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI rarely comment on rumours, but my mama and I are too tight for anything to ever come between us,\u201d she wrote. <\/p>\n
\nMiley added: \u201cShe\u2019s my best friend. Like a lot of moms, she doesn\u2019t know how to work her phone and somehow unfollowed me \u2014 simple, coincidental, and uninteresting.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nTish later confirmed to People the unfollow was accidental, saying she had \u201cno idea how that happened\u201d and had since corrected it.<\/p>\n
\nReflecting on her priorities, Miley said: \u201cNow, in my thirties, family is my priority above all else. I\u2019m at peace knowing bridges have been built and time has done a lot of healing. Grateful for the good health and love that flows through my family.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nMiley also spoke about her upcoming visual album, Something Beautiful, which is set to premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival later this month. <\/p>\n
\nThe project traces different periods of her life through film.<\/p>\n
\nAsked whether she viewed her life in eras, Miley told People: \u201cI don\u2019t see anything, I feel like, with a divide. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cI do love this flow of whatever is real in the moment totally is valuable and exists and that\u2019s what the movie is a celebration of is that everything gets to coexist in not a way that\u2019s lost but actually found.\u201d<\/p>\n
