Game Freak is best known as the studio behind the mainline Pok\u00e9mon<\/em> games, including recent releases like Sword \/ Shield<\/em><\/a>, Legends: Arceus<\/em><\/a>, and Scarlet \/ Violet<\/em><\/a>. But the developer is expanding its repertoire for a new release currently codenamed Project Bloom<\/em>. There isn\u2019t much detail on the game, but it\u2019s described as \u201ca brand-new action-adventure IP.\u201d The studio released a single piece of concept art, which you can see above.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n To release the game, the studio has partnered with Private Division, a publishing label under the Take-Two umbrella, which previously published titles ranging from The Outer Worlds<\/em><\/a> to OlliOlli World<\/em><\/a>. \u201cWe\u2019re ready to help Game Freak unleash their potential and we\u2019re honored to be the first Western publisher to work alongside this exceptionally talented and proven team to bring a bold new IP to market,\u201d Private Division head Michael Worosz said in a statement.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n It also sounds like Project Bloom<\/em> is still relatively early in development, with a planned launch \u201cduring Take-Two\u2019s Fiscal Year 2026.\u201d No platforms have been announced.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n And while Game Freak is closely associated with Pok\u00e9mon<\/em>, the studio has released several titles outside of the series, including Tembo the Badass Elephant<\/em><\/a> (published by Sega) and the cult classic Pocket Card Jockey<\/em>, which recently got a remake on Apple Arcade<\/a>. \u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to have the opportunity to create new IP that is bold and tonally different from our prior work,\u201d Game Freak director Kota Furushima said of Project Bloom<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
