Fans got to know Theresa Nist<\/b><\/a> during season 1 of <\/span>The Golden Bachelor.<\/span><\/i><\/a> While she found love with <\/span>Gerry Turner<\/b><\/a> and they got married in January 2024, their love story wasn\u2019t meant to be and they announced their split in April 2024. Despite no longer being married, Theresa revealed why fans shouldn\u2019t expect to see her on season 10 of<\/span> Bachelor in Paradise<\/span><\/i><\/a>.\n<\/p>\n When fans learned that season 10 of Bachelor in Paradise<\/em><\/a> will feature some of the franchise\u2019s Golden stars, many people likely hoped that Theresa would get another opportunity to find love. Theresa revealed during the June 5, 2025, episode of the \u201cAlmost Famous\u201d podcast that she was in the process of being cast on the show, though producers ultimately decided to not include her.<\/p>\n \u201cThe chronology of events was, I went through all the testing, I was already there [in Costa Rica],\u201d she told hosts Ben Higgins<\/strong> and Ashley Iaconetti<\/strong>. \u201cThey asked me to check [out] the guys, and I was like, \u2018I really can\u2019t do it.\u2019 But then I went back and said, \u2018Oh, maybe I should give it a shot,\u2019 and then I didn\u2019t get it.\u201d<\/p>\n Theresa added that she was \u201cso enthusiastic\u201d about the possibility of going on Bachelor in Paradise when it was revealed that the latest season will include the Golden stars. However, she had a change of heart when she started thinking about which men from The Golden Bachelorette<\/em> might appear on the show.<\/p>\n \u201cI realized that I really was just excited about seeing the women and having a reunion and having a vacation with them,\u201d she said. \u201cSo I thought it wasn\u2019t fair to make it about that, and I really didn\u2019t want to go on and pretend or just make up something, or make an alliance [with someone]. \u2026 It just didn\u2019t feel right.\u201d<\/p>\n While Theresa insisted that she initially \u201cwanted to go on the show,\u201d she told producers that she \u201cchanged [her] mind\u201d before she went back and said, \u201cYou know what, maybe I\u2019m being foolish.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cUltimately, they didn\u2019t select me,\u201d Theresa shared. \u201cBecause I said I didn\u2019t want to do it, they said, \u2018This girl is not committed.\u2019 So I think that\u2019s the reason I\u2019m not on the show.\u201d<\/p>\n Ashley \u2013 who appeared on seasons 2 and 3 of the spinoff \u2013 agreed that the producers likely didn\u2019t like her \u201cwishy-washy\u201d attitude.<\/p>\n Host Jesse Palmer<\/b> announced in March 2025 that <\/span>season 10 of <\/span>Bachelor in Paradise<\/span><\/i> will feature contestants<\/span><\/a> from <\/span>The Golden Bachelor<\/span><\/i> and <\/span>The Golden Bachelorette<\/span><\/i>,<\/span><\/a> as well as <\/span>The Bachelor<\/span><\/i> and <\/span>The Bachelorette<\/span><\/i>.<\/p>\n \u201cSo this is really happening.
