Years before Chris Hughes<\/strong><\/a> started dating Celebrity Big Brother UK <\/i>castmate JoJo Siwa<\/strong>, he was a finalist on Love Island<\/a>.<\/i><\/p>\n

Chris was 24 years old when he appeared as a bombshell on the third season of Love Island UK, <\/i>which aired on ITV starting in June 2017. (Fans can now rewatch the episodes via Hulu.)<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m open-minded,\u201d Chris, who worked on his family\u2019s farm before joining the show, said during his first night in the Spanish villa. \u201cThere are two sides to me. There\u2019s Funny Chris and then there\u2019s, like, Really Funny Chris.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chris\u2019 humor came out right away when he jokingly proclaimed to be \u201cmore\u201d attractive than David Beckham<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Hughes also wasted no time impressing the girls, going on dates with Camilla Thurlow, Montana Brown<\/strong> and Chloe Crowhurst<\/strong> before eventually honing his sights<\/a> on Olivia Attwood<\/strong>. The TV presenter and Olivia, despite a bumpy road, ended season 3 in an exclusive relationship and finished in third place. They ultimately broke up one year later.<\/p>\n

Olivia eventually settled down<\/a> with now-husband Bradley Dack<\/strong>, while Chris briefly dated Little Mix alum Jesy Nelson<\/strong> in 2019 before connecting with Siwa.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a beautiful journey. I don\u2019t know how the universe [aligned] for Chris to come into my life,\u201d JoJo gushed on the \u201cRosebud\u201d podcast in June 2025. \u201cI wasn\u2019t looking to fall for him. He wasn\u2019t looking to fall for me. We were just having so much fun together. \u2026 Over a little bit of time, I realized that I started to feel something<\/a> for Christopher that I never intended to, but I couldn\u2019t not feel.\u201d<\/p>\n

One of Chris\u2019 costars was Marcel Somerville<\/strong>, who was previously in British rap group Blazin\u2019 Squad. Upon his musical reveal<\/a> to the cast, Chris and Kem Cetinay<\/strong> also shared that they could rap. Chris and Kem subsequently never missed a moment to spit some impromptu bars, whether during a talent show, at Casa Amor or mid-argument.<\/p>\n

\u201cDo you want me to rap anyone, lift the mood a bit?\u201d Chris infamously quipped after a bombshell recoupling that forced Kem and then-girlfriend Amber Davies<\/strong> apart with newcomer Georgia Harrison<\/strong>\u2019s arrival.<\/p>\n

After leaving the villa, Chris and Kem also released a full version of their onscreen \u201cLittle Bit Leave It\u201d rap with an accompanying music video<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Chris and Olivia\u2019s Love Island <\/i>romance went through the ringer<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019ve got a great rig and your face is stunning,\u201d Chris said, apologizing. \u201cI thought a rig was a body, like, you\u2019re stunning and them freckles never go amiss. I look at those freckles every day, and I see a new one and it becomes my friend. So, they\u2019re all friends of mine. I believe that you are you, and I love you for exactly who you are.\u201d<\/p>\n

Of course, Chris and Olivia\u2019s journey was far from smooth sailing, riddled with multiple fights, breakups and reconciliations. During one of their fights in the cast\u2019s communal bedroom, Chris urged Olivia to \u201csit back down\u201d next to him on the bed.<\/p>\n

Olivia, meanwhile, had yet to stand up and retorted, \u201cI\u2019m sat.\u201d (The exchange has gone viral on TikTok.)<\/p>\n

While Chris and Olivia made viewers swoon, they were just as invested in his budding friendship<\/a> with Kem. In addition to raps, the pals and costar Dom Lever<\/strong> frequently coordinated outfits. One night, all three men wore matching olive T-shirts with white skinny jeans and posed in a daybed together.<\/p>\n

After leaving the island, Chris and Kem, meanwhile, went on to appear on ITV\u2019s You vs. Chris and Kem <\/i>spinoff later in 2017 and <\/i>the U.K.\u2019s celebrity version of Hunted <\/i>in 2018.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not like this with my other mates,\u201d Chris had told The Times of London <\/i>in 2017. \u201cKem just gets me more.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Kem, they just have a \u201cstrong connection.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel really strongly about guys being open about their feelings,\u201d the hairstylist added. \u201cI think that\u2019s what makes me and Chris so unique. A lot of boys relate to us \u2014 we\u2019re so open, so sensitive, we have that side to us, and I think that\u2019s what gives us that diversity.\u201d<\/p>\n
