It\u2019s scary but rewarding at the same time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tammy, of course, has been candid for well over a year now when it comes to chronicling her 500-pound weight loss journey\u2026 both on the show and on her social media accounts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI really don\u2019t know how I\u2019m going to feel when I wake up from surgery and look down at myself,\u201d Slaton went on. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cEven showering is going to be so much different because \u2014 I\u2019m not trying to be nasty, y\u2019all, I\u2019m sorry \u2014 but I have to take my hand and go all the way up underneath there and it\u2019s kind of deep. We\u2019re seriously in awe.<span class=\"image-caption-credit\"> (TLC)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Back in December, Slaton said on air that this surgery would be delayed due to her vaping habit.<\/p>\n<p>She was psyched for it to happen at some point, however.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just want to be able to walk around better without losing balance,\u201d Tammy detailed at the time. \u201cIt\u2019s hard to walk because of the skin. I walk like a daggone penguin. My belly goes this way and I\u2019m going that way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She later added with enthusiasm: <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve been waiting to hear that I can get my skin removal for so long. When I get rid of the skin, I\u2019m going to be a brand-new me. Better. But to me it was huge,\u201d Slaton told People Magazine in late 2023.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust being able to walk without a walker or be pushed in a wheelchair, and no oxygen. I don\u2019t even sleep with it at night anymore.
