Below Deck<\/em><\/a>\u2018s Kyle Stillie<\/strong> hooking up with a married guest while her husband was around caused lasting repercussions for the season \u2014 and a \u201cthorough investigation\u201d on board.<\/p>\n

During an exclusive interview with Us Weekly<\/em>, Captain Kerry Titheradge<\/strong> confirmed that he took matters into his own hands once he was alerted to rumors that Kyle and a guest were intimate during<\/a> a charter.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was an investigation done. I\u2019m not too sure how much of that will be shown but I did a thorough investigation before I made my decision,\u201d Kerry, 49, said, while teasing whether Kyle was fired for the situation. \u201cIt will be interesting to see what happens after I interviewed each of the crew members \u2014 including what was actually said behind [my back].\u201d<\/p>\n

Kerry noted that he could only get involved once<\/a> he was made aware.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThe cast of\u00a0Below Deck\u00a0and its spinoff series will do just about anything for love \u2026 or at least to have a fun crew hookup. After seven seasons of the Bravo series \u2014 with more than 100 episodes \u2014 there have been plenty of romances to watch unfold. Add in the\u00a0Below Deck Mediterranean\u00a0flings and\u00a0Below Deck Sailing [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t get to see what\u2019s going on Below Deck<\/em> because I\u2019m in the wheelhouse or I\u2019m over here and I can\u2019t be everywhere,\u201d he explained. \u201cI don\u2019t micromanage. I allow my crew to grow and I like to be here and to help encourage people. There\u2019s a lot I don\u2019t see and there\u2019s even more I don\u2019t want to see.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Below Deck<\/em> captain watched the official trailer for season 12 just like all of Us<\/em> when it was released in April. Based on the sneak peek, Kyle was seen potentially hooking up with a guest<\/a> at the beach in full view of his coworkers. In the footage, Kerry confronted Kyle, who wouldn\u2019t confirm what happened. Kyle asked producers whether his comment about \u201cf***ing\u201d a guest whose husband was on charter was \u201ca joke,\u201d and an offscreen producer asked him the exact same question back.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re going to see how it all develops on the show. If one of my staff is with a married person on the boat, they\u2019re not going to stay on the boat,\u201d Kerry teased to Us<\/em>. \u201cYou\u2019re breaking a boundary there that you can\u2019t cross.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kerry acknowledged that prior to the drama, he had a good experience<\/a> with Kyle, adding, \u201cKyle works very hard. He has a lot of respect. Last season, he was led astray by the bosun but I think he needs to keep it in his pants.\u201d<\/p>\n

The captain continued: \u201cBut he has a very strong work ethic and he\u2019s a very good crew member to have around. He doesn\u2019t have any ego. He gets the job done, he works hard and I want to see him grow in the ranks. I want to see him continue in the franchise. Let\u2019s see if he can\u2019t be a bosun one day \u2014 but maybe that\u2019s over for him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Malia White\u2018s introduction to Below Deck Mediterranean in season 2 came with a love triangle between Adam Glick and Wesley Walton. Although Malia and Wes gave their romance another try offscreen \u2014 [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Kerry was not the only one to weigh in on what\u2019s still to come. Chief steward Fraser Olender<\/strong> told Us<\/em> how \u201cthings were turbulent\u201d already on St. David before Kyle\u2019s extracurricular activity<\/a> with the guest.<\/p>\n
