Hiring platform Indeed\u2019s CEO Chris Hyams (pictured above) said on Monday that he is stepping down from the role. The company\u2019s parent firm Recruit\u2019s CEO, Hisayuki Idekoba, will return to his post as CEO of Indeed after a six-year break. <\/p>\n
Hyams said he will serve as a board advisor this year to manage the transition. He joined the company in 2010 as VP of product.<\/p>\n
\u201cToday, over 300 million job seekers use Indeed each month. Our revenue has grown 200x. Most importantly, 27 people get hired on Indeed every minute \u2014 one every 2.2 seconds. Since we started measuring hires, more than 75 million people have gotten jobs thanks to Indeed \u2014 and we know that number is a dramatic undercount,\u201d Hyams said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIndeed would not be what it is today without Chris, as he led the company through its transition from a simple job search engine to a two-sided talent marketplace. We\u2019re so grateful for everything he\u2019s done,\u201d Idekoba said in a statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
