\n<\/p>\n
The best of Broadway and off-Broadway were honored this past weekend at the 2025 Drama Desk Awards<\/em><\/strong>!<\/p>\n Audra McDonald<\/strong><\/a>, Jasmine Amy Rogers<\/strong><\/a>, and Sarah Snook<\/strong><\/a> all accepted the top acting prizes at the awards show on Sunday (June 1) at the NYU Skirball Center in New York City.<\/p>\n The event featured gender-free performance categories with each category featuring twice as many nominees as the former gendered ones. Each acting category also had two winners, with one category getting three winners because of a tie!<\/p>\n Audra<\/strong> and Jasmine<\/strong> won the awards for Outstanding Lead Performance in a Musical for their work in Gypsy<\/em> and BOOP! The Musical<\/em>, respectively. Sarah<\/strong> won Outstanding Lead Performance in a Play for her work in The Picture of Dorian Gray<\/em>. The second win in that category went to The Hills of California<\/em>\u2018s Laura Donnelly<\/strong><\/a>, who wasn\u2019t in attendance.<\/p>\n Also pictured inside are Outstanding Featured Performance in a Play winners Amalia Yoo<\/strong><\/a> (John Proctor is the Villain<\/em>) and Kara Young<\/strong><\/a> (Purpose<\/em>), as well as Outstanding Featured Performance in a Musical winners Jak Malone<\/strong><\/a> (Operation Mincemeat<\/em>) and Michael Urie<\/strong><\/a> (Once Upon a Mattress<\/em>).<\/p>\n Andrew Scott<\/strong><\/a> picked up the Outstanding Solo Performance award for Vanya<\/em>.<\/p>\n Other nominees in attendance included Sunset Blvd<\/em>\u2018s Nicole Scherzinger<\/strong><\/a> and Tom Francis<\/strong><\/a>, Death Becomes Her<\/em>\u2018s Jennifer Simard<\/strong><\/a>, Maybe Happy Ending<\/em>\u2018s Darren Criss<\/strong><\/a> and Helen J. Shen<\/strong><\/a>, Just in Time<\/em>\u2018s Jonathan Groff<\/strong><\/a>, Once Upon a Mattress<\/em>\u2018 Sutton Foster<\/strong><\/a>, Floyd Collins<\/em>\u2018 Jeremy Jordan<\/strong><\/a>, and Pirates! The Penzance Musical<\/em>\u2018s Nicholas Barasch<\/strong><\/a>.
