Jersey Shore<\/span><\/i><\/a> star <\/span>Mike \u201cThe Situation\u201d Sorrentino<\/b><\/a> weighs in on <\/span>Paul \u201cDJ Pauly D\u201d DelVecchio<\/b><\/a> and <\/span>Nikki Hall<\/b><\/a>\u2019s relationship after the cast went on a trip to her hometown in Jamaica during an exclusive interview with <\/span>Life & Style<\/span><\/i>.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s great to see that dynamic. It\u2019s new, it\u2019s fresh, it\u2019s fun. And it\u2019s also great to see that side of Pauly, you know, in such a \u2026 in a very healthy, committed relationship,\u201d Mike, 41, tells Life & Style<\/em> about Pauly, 44, and Nikki, 33, ahead of the season 8 premiere<\/a> of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation<\/em>.<\/p>\n Mike adds that Nikki is \u201cvery, very close\u201d with his wife, Lauren Sorrentino<\/strong>. \u201cIt\u2019s great that my wife has, like, another bestie on the show, as well,\u201d the longtime MTV star says. \u201cIt just adds this new fun dynamic to the show that I\u2019m sure the fans are eager to see.\u201d<\/p>\n Pauly and Nikki first met on the MTV show Double Shot at Love<\/em><\/a>. They quickly sparked a connection on the show and took a major step in their relationship when they moved in together in 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n Nikki eventually started making frequent appearance on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation<\/span><\/i>, though she stepped away from the show in 2022 after she got into a fight with costar <\/span>Angelina Pivarnick<\/b>. She later returned to the show in the second half of season 7 and is <\/span>expected to make even more appearances<\/span><\/a> in the upcoming season.<\/p>\n In addition to sharing his thoughts on Pauly and Nikki\u2019s romance<\/a>, Mike also explains to Life & Style<\/em> that the trip to Jamaica was particularly special because it was his first international vacation since he was released from prison in 2019. Mike previously served eight months behind bars for tax evasion.<\/p>\n He says the trip was \u201cfire because Uncle Sam gave me back my passport.\u201d Mike continues, \u201cSo [I haven\u2019t] been able to travel for the past, you know, decade and so now I\u2019m able to travel freely.\u201d<\/p>\n After noting that it was \u201creally good to travel with my best friends,\u201d Mike explains why the trip to Jamaica was so personally rewarding.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve been doing everything right for many, many years. I\u2019ve been sober. I\u2019ve paid my debts to society, I did my probation, my community service and all that other things,\u201d he says. \u201cSo now, like, my reward is I got my passport back.\u201d<\/p>\n Pauly D, Nikki Hall, Mie Sorrentino<\/p>\n <\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n Despite explaining why the Jamaica trip has a special place in his heart, Mike reveals that his all-time favorite vacation featured on the show was their group trip to Miami because it marked the beginning of his \u201ccomeback journey\u201d<\/a> after he became sober.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019d have to say the favorite vacation for me was probably Miami. We went to Miami twice. The squad always loves Miami,\u201d Mike says. \u201cIt was the start of a new version of Big Daddy Sitch for me. It was my \u2026 the start of my sober journey.
