\t\t<\/p>\n Miley Cyrus<\/strong><\/a> is sharing some insight into her relationship with her parents.<\/p>\n Just recently, the 32-year-old \u201cEnd of the World\u201d singer reunited<\/a> with her dad Billy Ray Cyrus<\/strong><\/a> more than a year after rumors first started that there was a rift within the family. <\/p>\n In a new interview, Miley<\/strong> confirmed that she and Billy Ray<\/strong>, 63, are no longer estranged and revealed that their rift was caused after he split from her mom Tish Cyrus<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span>\u201cI think timing is everything,\u201d Miley<\/strong> told The New York Times<\/a><\/em>. \u201cAs I\u2019ve gotten older, I\u2019m respecting my parents as individuals instead of as parents\u2014because my mom\u2019s really loved my dad for her whole life, and I think being married to someone in the music industry and not being a part of it is obviously really hard.\u201d<\/p>\n She added, \u201cAnd so I think I took on some of my mom\u2019s hurt as my own because it hurt her more than it hurt me as an adult, and so I owned a lot of her pain.\u201d<\/p>\n Tish<\/strong>, 58, filed for divorce from Billy Ray<\/strong> in 2022 after nearly 30 years of marriage. She then went on to marry Prison Break<\/em> alum Dominic Purcell<\/strong><\/a> in 2023 and Billy Ray<\/strong> revealed this past April that he\u2019s dating Elizabeth Hurley<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n Miley<\/strong> went on to say that seeing her parents both happily in relationships has helped her work through her feelings and move forward on the road to healing.<\/p>\n \u201cNow that my mom is so in love with my stepdad, who I completely adore, and now that my dad, I see him finding happiness, too\u2014I can love them both as individuals instead of as a parental pairing,\u201d Miley<\/strong> explained. \u201cI\u2019m being an adult about it.\u201d<\/p>\n However, the Grammy winner did admit that changing her mindset wasn\u2019t easy.<\/p>\n \u201cAt first it\u2019s hard, because the little kid in you reacts before the adult in you can go, \u2018Yes, that\u2019s your dad, but that\u2019s just another person that deserves to be in his bliss and to be happy,\u2019\u201d Miley<\/strong> said. \u201cMy child self has caught up.\u201d<\/p>\n In honor of Mother\u2019s Day earlier this month, Billy Ray<\/strong> shared a post praising<\/a> Tish<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
