Kelly Bensimon<\/strong><\/a> opened the Melissa Odabash<\/strong> show looking her absolute best.<\/p>\n

Ahead of strutting down the runway in a sexy bikini on Friday, May 30, during Miami Swim Week, Bensimon exclusively opened up to Us Weekly<\/em> about modeling in her 50s and how she got in shape for the catwalk. \u201cThis is such a huge honor to be walking in swim week,\u201d the Real Housewives of New York City<\/em><\/a> alum gushed to Us<\/em>, noting it was her good friend Melissa Odabash\u2019s 25th anniversary show. \u201cI thought I kept retiring from modeling [but] I keep coming back.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI am old, by the way,\u201d Bensimon told Us<\/em>, sharing she was \u201csuper, super nervous\u201d to open the show. \u201cI haven\u2019t walked in a show in a long time, and this isn\u2019t walking in a show. This is walking in my best friend\u2019s show, so I\u2019m really nervous because I want to do the best for her.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bensimon also gushed that Odabash\u2019s designs are one for the ages. \u201cOne thing that I love about her is that her designs are not only designs that I love to wear, but my daughters love to. And so if I\u2019m wearing it, my daughters are stealing it,\u201d she laughed. (Kelly is the mom of daughters Sea, 27, and Teddy, 25, whom she shares with Gilles Bensimon<\/strong>.)<\/p>\n

While she was feeling butterflies before stepping on the stage, Kelly is no stranger to modeling as she\u2019s grown older. At 40 years old in 2010, she graced the cover of Playboy<\/em><\/a>, which she recalled as an \u201camazing\u201d experience. \u201cIf you have psoriasis and you\u2019ve been hiding your skin all your life, I think that being able to show off all your imperfections at 40 years old, especially on the cover of Playboy, is a huge deal,\u201d Kelly reminisced.<\/p>\n

When it comes to confidence and embracing her body, Kelly got candid about feeling insecure, proving she really is just like Us<\/em>. \u201cI\u2019ve had so many insecurities,\u201d she admitted. \u201cI wish I could sit here and be like, \u2018I am so gorgeous,\u2019 but I just do not see myself like that at all.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cI only see myself as pretty. I just never thought of myself like that. I don\u2019t talk like that, honestly.\u201d<\/p>\n
