Pete Davidson<\/strong><\/a> accompanied girlfriend Elsie Hewitt<\/strong><\/a> to the Endometriosis Foundation of America\u2019s 13th annual Blossom Ball at the Pierre Hotel in NYC on May 15, marking their first public appearance as a couple. Having been diagnosed with endometriosis herself, it meant so much to the model to have the comedian there that night.<\/p>\n \u201cHe is the best,\u201d Elsie, 29, gushed exclusively to Life & Style<\/em>. \u201cHe\u2019s super supportive, and he wants to learn about all this stuff, so I\u2019m very grateful that he\u2019s here. This is very important to him as well. I feel very lucky to have him by my side.\u201d<\/p>\n It showed.<\/p>\n \u201cElsie was introducing Pete to all the foundation members, clearly very proud to show him off,\u201d reported an onlooker. \u201cThey seem to be really happy together and were holding hands as they walked around the event, giggling and whispering into each other\u2019s ears.\u201d<\/p>\n Plus, the King of Staten Island<\/em> star was happy to let Elsie be the center of attention throughout the night.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was clear Pete wanted the spotlight to be on Elsie,\u201d said an onlooker at the Blossom Ball. \u201cHe stood in the corner waiting for her to finish taking photos.\u201d<\/p>\n Elsie also opened up about journey with endometriosis at the event.<\/p>\n \u201cI have struggled with cripplingly painful periods since I started getting a period. In the last few years, they just got unbearable, and I was trying so hard to find the care and the help that I needed, and I didn\u2019t feel like anybody was really taking me seriously,\u201d she explained. \u201cI think that\u2019s something a lot of women with endo struggle with \u2014 being listened to and taken seriously. So that was a journey and then I found an amazing surgeon and I got my robotic excision surgery in November of last year. Since that, I\u2019ve just been recovering, and now I\u2019m kind of on the other side and just really excited to be here and keep spreading awareness and advocating for this really scary, painful disease that needs to be talked about more, I think.\u201d<\/p>\n Elsie Hewitt and Pete Davidson<\/p>\n <\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n The Industry<\/em> star offered advice for other women who are struggling with their symptoms from endometriosis and assured them that their \u201cpain is real.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cListen to your body because there are so many doctors and so many people who will just say, \u2018Oh, you\u2019re just having a bad period.\u2019 If you know that something is wrong, you have to listen,\u201d Elsie said. \u201cIt\u2019s not normal to be in that much pain. And so, I really think, just listen to your gut.\u201d<\/p>\n She continued, \u201cHonestly, it got to a point where I couldn\u2019t really ease it that much anymore. I know that an anti-inflammatory diet, heating pads, and painkillers and all of that help but it was like, personally, I got to a point where opting for surgery was my next best step.\u201d<\/p>\n Elsie and Pete, 31, first sparked rumors that they were dating earlier this year when they were spotted packing on the PDA during some downtime in Palm Beach. The photos were published by the Daily Mail<\/em><\/a> on March 15, and less than a week later, the two went Instagram official<\/a>.<\/p>\n Later that same month, the couple traveled to Scotland together and took in the sights.
