A new group of six couples featuring women and non-binary people are putting their relationships to the test on The Ultimatum: Queer Love<\/em><\/a> season 2. Life & Style<\/em> explores the Netflix series\u2019 cast, partner relationships and more ahead of the premiere.\n<\/p>\n Netflix released season 1 of the show in May 2023, featuring an LGBTQ take on The Ultimatum<\/em>. As in the original, one partner issues a relationship ultimatum about getting married and settling down, while the other has reservations.<\/p>\n The couples are then divided up to live with other contestants, while determining during an eight-week period if they want to remain faithful and fully commit to the romances they entered the show with or look for love with someone else.<\/p>\n Like season 1, the show\u2019s second season involves an all-female and non-binary cast.<\/p>\n Once again, a sunny locale was selected, as the show\u2019s couples are based in Miami, Florida. Season 1 took place in San Diego, California. Joanna Garcia Swisher<\/strong> is back as the host for season 2.<\/p>\n The couples are AJ<\/strong> and Britney<\/strong>, Marie<\/strong> and Mel<\/strong>, Haley<\/strong> and Pilar<\/strong>, Dayna<\/strong> and Magan<\/strong>, Bridget<\/strong> and Kyle<\/strong>, and Ashley<\/strong> and Marita<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Administrative assistant AJ is worried about how registered nurse and entrepreneur Britney is highly focused on her career. \u201cIt\u2019s not about love. It\u2019s about whether we\u2019re truly ready to prioritize the same future,\u201d AJ told Netflix\u2019s Tudum<\/a>.<\/p>\n Britney said the couple of five years is coming on the show to determine where they stand.<\/p>\n AJ and Britney<\/p>\n <\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n \u201cI issued AJ an ultimatum because after years of loving and building [a life] with her, I am ready for the next chapter,\u201d Britney explained to Tudum. \u201cI want clarity on where we are going and if she sees forever the same way I do.\u201d<\/p>\n Food truck owner\/chef Mel has been issued an ultimatum by her business partner and longtime love of four years, Marie.<\/p>\n \u201cMarie is ready for forever, but I feel there\u2019s a few things we need to get in order first,\u201d Mel said of their romance.<\/p>\n Account manager Ashley and account executive Marita have been together for three years after matching on a dating app.<\/p>\n \u201cI am getting tired of her inconsistency in our relationship, along with the fact that she never chooses me and seeks feelings elsewhere with other people,\u201d Ashley said to Tudum. \u201cI want her to pick me and know I am enough.\u201d<\/p>\n Ashley and Marita<\/p>\n <\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n However, Marita feels her partner hasn\u2019t made enough effort towards romance in their relationship, stating, \u201cI am not ready to settle for anything less than what I know I deserve.\u201d<\/p>\n Relationship manager Dayna and business manager Magan enter the experiment after one and a half years of dating. \u201cI\u2019m ready to be more serious and plan a future with Magan,\u201d ultimatum giver Dayna revealed, but her partner\u2019s \u201ctraditional\u201d family has been reluctant to accept her queerness, which could make a long-lasting future a hurdle.<\/p>\nWhat Is \u2018The Ultimatum: Queer Love\u2019?<\/h2>\n
