Sports Illustrated Swimsuit<\/em> model Gigi Robinson<\/strong> got candid about her breast reduction surgery.<\/p>\n

Robinson opened up about the surgery that helped her health while chatting with the New York Post<\/em><\/a> on Monday, May 27, explaining that she went down from a 34E to a 34B.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was never a cosmetic thing for me. My goal was not to get a breast reduction<\/a> to be smaller or to lose weight,\u201d she explained. \u201cMy goal was rooted in my desire to overcome chronic illness.\u201d<\/p>\n

At around 10 or 11 years old, Robinson was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, a rare inherited illness that \u201caffects the tissue that supports and protects other tissues and organs in the body,\u201d per the Mayo Clinic. Some of the symptoms include \u201ctoo loose\u201d joints and \u201cstretchy\u201d skin. Robinson told The New York Post<\/em> that she experienced \u201cchronic migraines, fatigue and brain fog\u201d growing up.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tIt\u2019s no secret that many of Hollywood\u2019s A-listers have breast implants. But what you may not know is that as popular as the cosmetic enhancement is, celebs also aren\u2019t afraid to say goodbye to them for good. Dr. John Paul Tutela, a trusted NY and NJ board-certified plastic surgeon tells Us Weekly that the two [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI could not exercise without a lot of pressure in my neck and my shoulders and my back,\u201d she continued. \u201cBy the time I got to college, I really realized how much of an impact living with a chronic illness had on me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Eventually, Robinson\u2019s doctors recommended she undergo a breast reduction<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou have to think about the limitations that people living with a larger chest and\/or a chronic illness may be suffering,\u201d she told the outlet. \u201cLosing weight is not necessarily a great option. It also perpetuates the idea that you\u2019re getting a breast reduction because you wanna be smaller.\u201d<\/p>\n
