In it for the long haul?\u00a0Love Is Blind<\/i><\/a>\u00a0stars\u00a0Colleen Reed<\/a><\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0Matt Bolton\u00a0<\/b>didn\u2019t have an easy time in the pods but ended up getting engaged during season 3<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n In May 2025, Colleen and Matt announced they had decided to part ways after almost four years of marriage.<\/p>\n \u201cWe wanted to share something personal, and this is not easy to do, but after nearly four years together, we\u2019ve decided to end our marriage and move forward on our own paths,\u201d they wrote in a joint statement via Instagram<\/a> on May 23, 2025. \u201cWe\u2019ve been separated for some time now and have been doing our best to work through everything privately and with care.\u201d<\/p>\n The statement continued, \u201cThis was an incredibly difficult decision, not one we made lightly. It came with a lot of thought and it\u2019s been an emotional process for both of us. We met in the most unique and unexpected way, and we\u2019ll always be grateful for the love and memories we\u2019ve shared. There\u2019s not one thing we would change and we continue to have deep respect and care for one another.\u201d<\/p>\n Colleen and Matt concluded the message by thanking those who supported them throughout their relationship and asked for \u201ccompassion\u201d as they \u201cnavigate this transition.\u201d<\/p>\n Colleen and Matt got married during the season 3 finale. They spent their second Christmas together as a couple in December 2022 and frequently posted about their adventures on Instagram.<\/p>\n Previously, the pair confirmed during the reunion episode that they are still together, although they were not living together. Matt admitted that trying to \u201cmesh\u201d their lives together proved to be difficult post-show.<\/p>\n \u201cGetting out of the show and the whole atmosphere, you learn a lot about each other. So it kind of started off rough right when we got out of it,\u201d he explained. \u201cThat being said, it\u2019s just learning how to incorporate each other into your daily lives. We talked for hours about bringing each other into our \u2018real world\u2019 and when we eventually were able to do so, we realized quickly how much love and respect we have for each other. I\u2019ll always love our story.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Three weeks later, the couple defended their relationship against the critics during a November 2022 interview with Us Weekly<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cSome of the comments are just laughable at how wrong it is or way off the mark they are,\u201d Colleen noted. \u201cWhat\u2019s frustrating with what people do say about our relationship is that these really harsh assumptions, that\u2019s really tricky to talk about. While in the pods, Colleen fell for\u00a0Cole Barnett<\/b>, but he opted to break things off with her to get engaged to\u00a0Zanab Jaffrey<\/b><\/a>. She also formed a bond with\u00a0Brennon Lemieux<\/b>, but he and\u00a0Alexa Alfia<\/b>\u00a0left the pods engaged to each other.<\/span><\/p>\n However, Colleen eventually found her way to Matt, and they became one of the five couples to get engaged during season 3 in addition to SK Alagbada<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0Raven Ross<\/b><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Nancy Rodriguez<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0Bartise Bowden<\/b><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Colleen and Cole got into hot water with their significant others after they had a steamy poolside chat. The realtor told the dancer that Zanab was not \u201cphysically\u201d his \u201ctype\u201d and that he was very attracted to Colleen. The PR strategist also admitted that she would have approached Cole if they met in a bar.<\/span><\/p>\n Cole admitted to\u00a0Women\u2019s Health<\/i> that he \u201ccrossed a line\u201d with his \u201cstupid\u201d statements about his former fianc\u00e9e. And I apologize to this day that it was at Zanab and Matt\u2019s expense.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Colleen and Cole\u2019s poolside chat also led to the brunette beauty into a huge fight with Matt. However, by the next morning, the couple had apparently made up and put the argument behind them.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Matt said the \u201ctrust factor\u201d for Colleen \u201cskyrocketed\u201d because of the incident.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI kind of wish I could go back a little bit and not have run away so quickly, right after something like that it happened, because she did come to me and explain it all. I don\u2019t think I handled it the best,\u201d he said. \u201cI think it was just fine to be upset at the comment.
