Love Is Blind<\/em><\/a> season 3 couple Matt Bolton<\/strong> and Colleen Reed<\/strong> <\/a>have split after four years of marriage.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe wanted to share something personal, and this is not easy to do, but after nearly four years together, we\u2019ve decided to end our marriage and move forward on our own paths,\u201d the pair wrote in a joint Instagram statement<\/a> on Friday, May 23. \u201cWe\u2019ve been separated for some time now and have being our best to work through everything privately and with care.\u201d<\/p>\n

The former reality stars explained, \u201cThis was an incredibly difficult decision, not one we made lightly. It came with a lot of thought and it\u2019s been an emotional process for both of us.\u201d<\/p>\n

Matt and Colleen, both 30, recalled, \u201cWe met in the most unique and unexpected way, and we\u2019ll always be grateful for the love and memories we\u2019ve shared. There\u2019s not one thing we would change and we continue to have deep respect and care for one another.\u201d<\/p>\n

The statement concluded by saying, \u201cThank you to everyone who has supported us. We kindly ask for compassion as we navigate this transition.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Matt and Colleen were one of only two couples to tie the knot during season 3 of Love Is Blind<\/em>, which premiered in October 2022, the pair had their fair share of ups and downs on the way to the alter.<\/p>\n

The twosome faced their biggest challenge after Colleen admitted to having a conversation with contestant Cole Barnett<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 who was engaged to costar Zanab Jaffrey<\/strong><\/a> at the time \u2014 where they mutually confessed that they would be attracted to each other \u201cin the real world.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tSince the premiere of Love Is Blind in 2020, fans have wondered how effective the concept of speed-dating without seeing the other person actually is. The show, which has aired eight seasons and spawned multiple international iterations, follows singles dating in pods over the course of 10 days. The kicker, of course, is that they [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

While the ballet dancer told Matt about the exchange later that same night, the news didn\u2019t sit right with the businessman and he threatened to leave the show entirely.<\/p>\n

When the season 3 finale aired in November 2022, Colleen expressed her regrets about the moment and apologized for causing drama within the group. It was really hard for me to watch. I get emotional [about it],\u201d she said. \u201cI never would ever want to disrespect [Cole and Zanab\u2019s] relationship<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

The duo faced their second roadblock while out at the bar during a season 3 episode when some of the girls opted to keep the night going at a second location. Matt, for his part, questioned why his fianc\u00e9e thought \u201cgoing the club was more important than coming home to her f\u2014king boy,\u201d and once again threatened to pack his bags and exit the show.<\/p>\n

Love Is Blind\u2019s Colleen Reed fell in love with Matt Bolton in the pods sight unseen \u2014 but she still wants bling she\u2019s proud to show off. \u201cI always wear my [wedding] band but I\u2019m waiting to see him get down on one knee with my own two eyes,\u201d Colleen, 27, quipped [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s no f***ing way I can marry this woman,\u201d he told costar Bartise Bowden<\/strong><\/a> at the time.<\/p>\n

The incident was enough to make Colleen later waver about their upcoming nuptials, telling Matt during a one-on-one date night that she didn\u2019t believe love was \u201cenough for marriage.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite the Pennsylvania native referring to their relationship as a \u201croller-coaster she didn\u2019t want to get off of,\u201d both Matt and Colleen said \u201cI do\u201d on their wedding day,\u00a0telling cohosts Nick<\/strong><\/a> and Vanessa Lachey<\/strong><\/a> during the reunion that they were \u201cso happy.\u201d\u00a0The pair did, however, also reveal that they had yet to move in together after saying \u201cI do.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t wait to move in with him and I\u2019m going to spend the rest of my life with him,\u201d Colleen gushed while citing lease issues for their decision to live apart.<\/p>\n

Following the reunion special, Colleen opened up about life with her new husband via social media.<\/p>\n

\u201cMatt, I met you in the most unexpected way and now I can\u2019t imagine a life without you<\/a>,\u201d she wrote via Instagram at the time. \u201cWe have gone through many challenges and I\u2019m proud of much we learned from each hurdle that we have come across. A year and a half later and I continue to love you more and more each day. You are my love, my person, my best friend, my chef, my dance partner, my world traveler, my movie buddy, my golfer, my lobster, my silly goose \u2026 my everything. Quoting myself, \u2018Cheers to getting Litty as a Titty for the rest of lives!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
