JoJo Siwa<\/strong><\/a> is opening up about her fateful decision to appear on Celebrity Big Brother UK<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Dance Moms<\/em><\/a> alum, 22, shared with People<\/em><\/a> in an interview published Thursday, May 22, that her team \u201cdiscouraged\u201d her from signing up for the popular reality show, but she ultimately went with her gut.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s funny because going into the experience, nobody on my team wanted me to do it and everyone tried to discourage me from doing it,\u201d Siwa told the outlet.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut for some reason, I was really set on doing it,\u201d she continued. \u201cRight before I went in, the last thing I told my mom is, I said, \u2018Mom, I think this is going to be the best thing I\u2019ve ever done in my life.\u2019 And I wasn\u2019t speaking about my career, I was speaking about my life and I think I was accurate on that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Siwa struck up a close friendship with former Love Island UK<\/em> contestant Chris Hughes<\/strong>, 32, in the Celebrity Big Brother<\/em> house, and in the weeks since the show ended, the costars have ignited speculation of a romance. (Siwa broke up with her girlfriend, Kath Ebbs<\/strong><\/a>, after appearing on Celebrity Big Brother UK<\/em>.)<\/p>\n

Photos obtained and published by The Sun<\/em><\/a> on Thursday show Siwa and Hughes sharing a kiss on a pool floatie at an adults-only hotel in Mexico. Hughes appeared to hold a drink in his hand as he leaned in toward Siwa. (Us Weekly<\/em> reached out to Siwa and Hughes\u2019 reps for comment on Thursday.)<\/p>\n

The kissing pic came shortly after Siwa and Hughes fueled relationship speculation<\/a> by sharing several photos of each other via Instagram. \u201cThis years birthday week was more magical than anything\ud83e\udd0d\ud83e\ude84,\u201d Siwa captioned a carousel of photos on Wednesday, May 21, many of which featured her and Hughes looking loved-up.<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cFull of surprises, family time, performing, chilling, laughing, loving, smiling, and good meaningful cries. Absolutely beautiful, wouldn\u2019t change a single thing\ud83e\udd0d a week I\u2019ll remember for the rest of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n
