Popular content creator and social media personality Alix Earle<\/strong> is joining Dancing With the Stars<\/em><\/a> season 34. She was the second celebrity contestant announced, following the late Steve Irwin\u2019s son, Robert Irwin<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n Alix, 24, first rose to fame on TikTok with her \u201cGet Ready With Me\u201d videos and throughout the years has amassed a whopping 7.5 million followers on social media. Fans flock to her page for beauty, styling and lifestyle tips.<\/p>\n Good Morning America<\/em><\/a> announced the news on Thursday, May 22, and Alix couldn\u2019t hide her excitement about the upcoming opportunity. She said when she was asked to compete on Dancing With the Stars<\/em>, it was an \u201ceasy yes.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI hope that the Earle Girls will come out and support me. I hope so, and yeah, I\u2019m excited to be able to vlog it all as well, and that\u2019s the fun thing about what I do on social media is keeping up with everything I do in real time,\u201d Alix replied when she was asked if she thought her large social media following would give her an edge. \u201cSo, being able to share that and the behind-the scenes process, because I know as someone who was glued to the TV last year with Dancing With the Stars<\/em> and on social media, I\u2019m like, \u2018Give me the drama. What\u2019s the tea? Who\u2019s dating?<\/a>\u2019 I want to know, so I\u2019m excited to see it in real life and be able to share it.\u201d<\/p>\n The model also told Good Morning America<\/em> host Michael Strahan<\/strong> that she would \u201cgive him the inside scoop.\u201d<\/p>\n Alix Earle<\/p>\n <\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n Lara Spencer<\/strong> asked if Alix planned on filming her usual \u201cGet Ready With Me\u201d videos while competing on Dancing With the Stars<\/em>, and the TikTok star promised that she would and added that it was actually one of the things she was most excited about.<\/p>\n \u201cI was just learning about how they custom-tailor all the outfits to you. I mean, the costumes on that show, the glam \u2013 it\u2019s a whole other world. I\u2019m so excited for it. If there\u2019s one thing about me, it\u2019s that I love dressing up. Halloween\u2019s my favorite. So, I\u2019m going to take an opportunity to go above and beyond every week,\u201d Alix said with a smile.<\/p>\n Alix danced competitively in high school and the New Jersey native said that she hoped her past experience would give her an edge.<\/p>\n \u201cI danced when I was little and up until my sophomore year of high school,\u201d she explained. \u201cIt wasn\u2019t like I was that great or anything, but at least you know I know an eight-count and dance. I would like to say I have some rhythm. Maybe? Possibly? But I\u2019ve never done ballroom dancing or danced with a partner before, so that\u2019s going to be a whole new adventure for me, and I might have lost a little bit of my flexibility and skills over the years. So, I\u2019m excited to, you know, get back in there and get training.\u201d<\/p>\n Fans will have to wait and see which other celebrities will be competing for the mirrorball trophy as the announcements continue.
