Erin Andrews<\/strong><\/a> shared the heartbreaking news that her surrogate had a miscarriage as the sportscaster and her husband, Jarret Stoll<\/strong>, were expecting baby No. 2.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe got some real s\u2013tty news today that our surrogate had miscarried,\u201d Erin, 47, told cohost Charissa Thompson<\/strong> on the Thursday, May 22, episode of their podcast \u201cCalm Down with Erin and Charissa<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

The NFL sideline reporter<\/a> revealed she and Jarret, 42, had been expecting a baby girl.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, I have dealt with this before, but things were going really, really well. And her little heartbeat and her numbers were really good \u2014 so much so I even told you guys a couple weeks ago because we thought we had such good news,\u201d Erin continued, revealing she had told Charissa, 43, and podcast producer Ryan Musick<\/strong>, even though she hadn\u2019t made the pregnancy news public yet.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut Ryan, you did such a bang-up job with this podcast today. I\u2019ve been trying really hard to pay attention, I\u2019ve just been tearing up the whole time and trying to stay focused,\u201d she told her colleague. \u201cBut I\u2019m also really, really good at suppressing my feelings and work really helps me with that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since the miscarriage news was still so fresh, Erin revealed that Ryan offered to push back the podcast taping to let her deal with the grief, but she decided to push forward.<\/p>\n

\u201cBeen sitting here thinking about Taylor Swift<\/strong>\u2019s song, \u2018I Can Do It with a Broken Heart.\u2019 I\u2019m really good at doing this s\u2013t with a broken heart,\u201d the fan of the pop superstar<\/a> confessed.<\/p>\n

The 2025 Super Bowl reporter discussed how the surrogate she and Jarret used to welcome son Mack, 23 months, in June 2023, also suffered a pregnancy loss. Erin previously shared how the couple had been expecting twins at the time.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I think I kinda made a promise to myself that when I was really open with how s\u2013tty infertility has been and our journey with two surrogates, because we did lose \u2026 we had loss with our first surrogate and then luckily with our second one, we had Mack, that I was just going to be honest with people,\u201d Erin said of sharing the news about her latest loss.<\/p>\n

The Lewiston, Maine, native has been open about her infertility struggles in the past, revealing how she went through nine rounds of IVF before turning to surrogacy.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut like I said, when I was first dealing with all these infertility issues and loss that I just wanted to let other people know that we\u2019re dealing with them that I get it and I understand. And I\u2019m going to do that again,\u201d she explained. \u201cThis really, really sucks, but so many people are dealing with it, so if you feel alone and you feel like a failure, I do too. But you\u2019re not the only one.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI just wanted to be open with people and be like, \u2018This sucks.\u2019 And today, this really does. It makes you really realize when I have my little boy, and today, he was throwing a fit royale with us, it\u2019s like, you know what? It doesn\u2019t matter,\u201d Erin shared.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll be good. I was saying to Jarret today \u2026 this is like the hardest part,\u201d she added. \u201cBut I just didn\u2019t want to be back here in the loss column.\u201d<\/p>\n

Erin and Jarret married in June 2017 after nearly five years of dating. The retired NHL player was by her side as she successfully battled cervical cancer in 2016. Erin froze her embryos for future use prior to undergoing two surgeries and was declared cancer-free in November 2016.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
