Cheryl Burke<\/strong><\/a> called out the \u201ccruel\u201d body-shamers who have been speculating about her appearance.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s address the elephant in the comments section. I am not on Ozempic. I am not sick. I didn\u2019t get a face transplant and I didn\u2019t get a brow lift,\u201d Burke, 41, said in a video shared via TikTok<\/a> on Sunday, May 18. \u201cThe level of projection that is happening and that I am witnessing is wild.\u201d<\/p>\n

Burke expressed her disappointment<\/a> with those discussing her looks as if she\u2019s \u201cnot a person,\u201d adding, \u201cBut here is the most disappointing part that really gets me. [Some of you are writing], \u2018We miss the \u2018old Cheryl\u2019 from Suite Life of Zack and Cody<\/em> back in 2006 or Dancing With the Stars<\/em> season 2 when I was 21 or the three years ago Cheryl where I was going through a divorce.’\u201d<\/p>\n

While calling out the online commentary, Burke reminded people \u201cthat Cheryl doesn\u2019t exist\u201d anymore.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tOzempic has become a hot topic when it comes to weight loss \u2014 with some stars confirming they have used the drug while others denied it. Chelsea Handler admitted during a January 2023 episode of the \u201cCall Her Daddy\u201d podcast that she unknowingly took the Type 2 diabetes medication, which is traditionally used to improve [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cThe assumptions are exhausting as hell,\u201d she noted. \u201cThe accusations are completely cruel and the fact that so many of them are actually coming from women is what is so shocking and hurtful.\u201d<\/p>\n

Burke admitted to struggling with the conversations<\/a> happening about her on social media, saying, \u201cI have been in the public eye since I was 20 years old. My body has changed over the past 20 years. My face has changed because I have changed.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued: \u201cI have experienced so much trauma, divorce, sobriety, burn out and reinvention. This is by no means a pity party. I have healed, I have lost and I have grieved like anybody else. Maybe it shows but I am not sorry for it. Not one bit.\u201d<\/p>\n

Burke specifically called out women who were \u201ctearing down other women\u201d and \u201cpretending it is out of concern\u201d for her well-being.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThere\u2019s no shame in loving your body. Thankfully, more Hollywood stars than ever before are preaching that message, and they won\u2019t let body-shaming comments slide anymore. Lizzo has been vocal about trying to help people accept all body sizes. \u201cI want to normalize my body. And not just be like, \u2018Ooh, look at this cool [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cWhat has been so challenging is this pressure to prove that I haven\u2019t done something and to convince other people that my healing is valid,\u201d she added. \u201cI am quieter, I have boundaries and more discernment. Frankly, I don\u2019t feel safe the way I used to on social media.\u201d<\/p>\n
