The winners of The Amazing Race<\/strong><\/a><\/em>\u2018s latest season have revealed that producers edited the finale to make the episode appear more competitive than it really was.<\/p>\n

Podcast hosts and gamers Carson McCalley<\/strong> and Jack Dodge<\/strong> won the $1 million prize and they said in a new interview that their lead on the other teams was way bigger than the show made it seem.<\/p>\n

The producers of the show made it seem like the final three teams were neck-in-neck to create the illusion like there was the possibility that anyone could win, when in reality, the frontrunners had a huge lead. <\/p>\n

\u201cThey edited it to be really close. I think we had at least an hour on them,\u201d Jack <\/strong>told TVLine<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Carson <\/strong>added, \u201cMajor props to Jack <\/strong>when he was doing that hoverboard thing. Everything else was so, so, so, so close. After that hoverboard, we felt like we took a huge lead. We saw how many attempts that took for everybody, like 21 attempts, 25 attempts. It was so hard to get that, I imagine. So after that, we knew we had a pretty strong lead, but we did see Han <\/strong>and Holden <\/strong>again at the boating, but it took us\u2026 I mean, we were hand-paddling. There was no wind. We were hand-paddling around a whole island. It took an hour-and-a-half maybe. So when we were coming back, we saw them heading out. So we knew we had at least [90 minutes], unless they somehow developed winds\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

Jack <\/strong>chimed in, \u201cIt didn\u2019t look like anyone really caught any beautiful gusts. So we were pretty comfortably ahead, but we were like, \u2018Anything can change.\u2019 And also, I think Han <\/strong>and Holden<\/strong> got doubly messed up by the car accident, so that probably also played a hand in that time gap.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the same interview, Jack <\/strong>said that he\u2019d love to be on Survivor<\/em>, The Traitors<\/em>, or The Challenge<\/em> next while Carson <\/strong>wants to be on Big Brother<\/em>. <\/p>\n
