The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives<\/em> fans have watched the cast change on and off screen before the series even debuted.<\/p>\n

Season 1 of hit reality series, which follows a group of Mormon mom influencers<\/a>, debuted on Hulu in September 2024 following star Taylor Frankie Paul<\/strong>\u2018s \u201csoft swinging\u201d sex scandal.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re not all swingers,\u201d Whitney Leavitt<\/strong> exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> at the time despite the scandal not<\/a> affecting her \u201call all\u201d in the months after the drama. \u201cI think it\u2019d be different if I was actually involved in it, but I wasn\u2019t, so I just took the clout from it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mayci Neely<\/strong> had the same takeaway<\/a>, sharing with Us<\/em>, \u201cWe\u2019re not all swingers. You can be Mormon and wear a crop top and leggings as well. You don\u2019t have to be perfect. You don\u2019t have to be the stereotypical Mormon that people think we\u2019re all supposed to be.\u201d<\/p>\n

In June 2022, Taylor revealed via TikTok that her marriage to husband Tate Paul<\/strong> in the aftermath of the drama.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cI guess I\u2019m pretty much known from my headlines of Swinger Mom,\u201d Taylor exclusively told Us<\/em>. \u201cFor the show, I really wanted them to see me and more of me and my personality and a deeper level. I feel like I come off so different online than I actually am in a conversation. So I felt like this was my chance to tell my story and get a deeper look into who I am.\u201d<\/p>\n

Layla Taylor<\/strong>, meanwhile, showed sympathy for Taylor\u2019s situation.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was just having to remember that we\u2019re all human and that we make mistakes,\u201dshe shared with Us. \u201cIt was a very difficult situation and it\u2019s so public what she had to go through, and I think she handled it the best way that she could. I just forgive her because she handled it the way that she could at that moment.\u201d<\/p>\n
