Melanie Hamrick<\/strong> may be engaged to one of the most famous rock stars on the planet, but that doesn\u2019t mean she\u2019s willing to treat her private life like an open book.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think family is so personal, and it\u2019s a bubble,\u201d Hamrick, 37, exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> on Thursday, May 8, while attending the NYC Ballet Spring Gala at the David H. Koch Theater in New York.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s nice to share things, but it\u2019s like the ballet: there needs to be a mystery or people are going to get sick of you,\u201d she added with a laugh.<\/p>\n

The evening\u2019s performance included the use of masks and highlighted the allure of mystery. When asked what she likes to keep mysterious as a public figure, Hamrick \u2014 a former ballet dancer herself \u2014 reiterated: \u201cMy private life.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tMick Jagger and girlfriend Melanie Hamrick enjoyed a rare public outing in Beverly Hills over the weekend. The 81-year-old Rolling Stones frontman and longtime girlfriend Hamrick, 37, attended Chanel and Charles Finch\u2019s annual pre-Oscars dinner in Beverly Hills on Saturday, March 1. The couple posed for photographers on the event\u2019s red carpet, which was held [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI love the Kardashians, however I\u2019m not as comfortable in public,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n

True to form, Hamrick has managed to keep details of her age-gap romance with Mick Jagger<\/strong> <\/a>relatively out of the public eye. In April, Hamrick confirmed her engagement to the Rolling Stones frontman, 81, in April, revealing to Paris Match<\/em><\/a> that Jagger actually proposed \u201ctwo or three years\u201d earlier.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe one day we\u2019ll marry, maybe not,\u201d Hamrick told the outlet at the time. \u201cWe are so happy in our current life that I would be too afraid to change anything.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jagger and Hamrick met in 2014 after a Rolling Stones concert in Tokyo after she and her fellow members of the American Ballet Theatre received complimentary tickets to the show. The pair, who are 44 years apart in age, started dating shortly after in 2015.<\/p>\n
