Former Bachelorette Clare Crawley<\/strong><\/a> opened up about her private battle with Topical Steroid Withdrawal (TSW).<\/p>\n

\u201cYesterday, I went live and finally shared something I\u2019ve kept hidden: my journey with TSW (Topical Steroid Withdrawal),\u201d Crawley, 44, wrote via Instagram<\/a> on Friday, May 9. \u201cFor those who missed it, I just want to say \u2014 I\u2019m still in it. I don\u2019t have the answers. I\u2019m not on the other side with a shiny bow tied around it. But I couldn\u2019t keep quiet anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n

TSW is a severe reaction that occurs when moderate- or high-potency topical steroids are used on skin<\/a> for a prolonged period, according to the National Eczema Society<\/a>. It can be treated by immunosuppressant therapies or other medications.<\/p>\n

\u201cSpeaking the truth felt terrifying \u2026 and also deeply freeing. What I once saw as something to be ashamed of \u2014 my raw skin, my struggle, my limits \u2014 has become something else entirely: a reflection of my humanness,\u201d Crawley wrote on Friday. \u201cI thought people would pull away. Instead, I\u2019ve felt more connection than ever. Because we all crave realness. We all long to be seen \u2014 not just in our wins, but in our wounds.\u201d<\/p>\n
