Josh Kelley<\/a> – told Us Weekly: “Adalaide is very unimpressed with my acting career. She finds it gives her the ick.<\/p>\n“No one\u2019s more humbling than a teenage daughter, I\u2019ll tell you that. <\/p>\n
“They\u2019re at those ages where kids can be real jerks, right? And say crappy things. And they asked me like, \u2018Well, does it bother you if people tell you you\u2019re a dumb blonde?\u2019 And I was like, \u2018No, because I know I\u2019m not.\u2019 And Adalaide went, \u2018You\u2019re not a blonde?\u2019 And I was like, \u2018No, Adalaide, I\u2019m not dumb.'”<\/p>\n
\nKatherine starred on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ between 2005 and 2010, but she would feel “awkward” watching the TV show with her children.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “I\u2019ve said to Naleigh, she\u2019s 16 now, \u2018If you want to watch it, you can.\u2019 And she\u2019s like, \u2018No, I\u2019m good.\u2019 I\u2019m like, \u2018OK, I\u2019d prefer not to watch this with you’.<\/p>\n
\n“\u2018I feel like it would just be so awkward for both of us. There\u2019s a lot of sex in the show and my character\u2019s doing plenty of it. So I\u2019d rather not, quite frankly, but I will if it\u2019s important to you.\u2019 And she\u2019s like, \u2018No, I\u2019m good.\u2019 I\u2019m like, \u2018Yeah, maybe in your 20s.\u2019”<\/p>\n
\nMeanwhile, Katherine recently acknowledged that she won’t be “the ingenue forever”.<\/p>\n
\nThe actress achieved many of her career ambitions during her 20s – but Katherine accepts that she’s now entered a new chapter in her life.<\/p>\n
\nThe Hollywood star told Us Weekly: “It\u2019s not to say, like, \u2018Oh, you can\u2019t do that anymore.\u2019 It\u2019s going to be very different. You\u2019re not the ingenue, and the ingenue is really a valuable role in Hollywood. And it\u2019s sort of, as you get older, you have to fight and say, \u2018Yes, but I am still a value and it might look different and it might feel different, but trust me, the story\u2019s worth telling.\u2019 It\u2019s a different fight.”<\/p>\n
