The Real Housewives<\/i><\/a><\/span> franchise is expanding once again.<\/p>\n

Bravo announced<\/a><\/span> on Wednesday, May 7, that The Real Housewives of Rhode Island<\/i> is officially in the works and coming to a small screen soon.<\/p>\n

\u201cSet against the shores of the Ocean State, The Real Housewives<\/i> franchise expands into the world of a tight-knit circle of Rhode Islanders who have deep community roots and families that go back generations,\u201d the show\u2019s synopsis stated. \u201cWith aspirational lives, thriving businesses and tangled family dynamics, these decade-long friendships prove that in a state this small, there\u2019s no escaping your past \u2026 or each other.\u201d<\/p>\n

While the cast has yet to be revealed, Rhode Island has certainly seen its fair share of residents become Hollywood stars.<\/p>\n

In celebration of The Real Housewives of Rhode Island<\/i>, Us Weekly<\/i> is discovering a few familiar faces who once called Rhode Island home.<\/p>\n

While they may have moved out of the area, these stars would absolutely make great reality TV stars \u2014 if they ever want to explore in the future.<\/p>\n

For major milestones like her engagement party, Culpo tries to celebrate in Rhode Island with her family and close friends.<\/p>\n

Debra Messing<\/b><\/h3>\n

Before earning roles in unforgettable projects like Will & Grace<\/i> and The Wedding Date<\/i>, Messing grew up in East Greenwich, Rhode Island.<\/p>\n

In May 2019, the actress was able to go back to her hometown and shared why the city is so special.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe ate at the waterfront restaurant for whom I waitressed 30 years ago.
