On Tuesday, <em>Vanity Fair<\/em> and Peacock cohosted the game night to end all game nights ahead of the season two premiere of <strong>Rian Johnson<\/strong>\u2019s Emmy-nominated serie<em>s Poker Face,<\/em> which begins streaming on May 8.<\/p>\n<p>Le Chalet at L\u2019Avenue, a venue famous for often hosting <em>SNL<\/em> afterparties, was transformed into an intimate poker den for the event, hosted by <em>Poker Face<\/em> star <strong>Natasha Lyonne<\/strong> and <em>Vanity Fair<\/em>\u2019s editor-in-chief, <strong>Radhika Jones.<\/strong> Multiple poker games unspooled simultaneously, with dealers plucked from <strong>Leonardo DiCaprio<\/strong>\u2019s private poker nights at Casa Cipriani. Although she performed at the legendary shindig last year <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanityfair.com\/hollywood\/story\/wicked-ariana-grande-cynthia-erivo-cover?srsltid=AfmBOoqJsYzTtzCC_I3tt0Qakb3i8CuCgrXVOYkPQXv_VF9un-qWDhP9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">with her <em>Wicked<\/em> co-star <strong>Ariana Grande<\/strong><\/a>, this year, Erivo was delighted to simply be a guest. \u201cI love it when I get to just be a spectator and enjoy and dance,\u201d she said. Erivo was certainly put to work in the season two premiere of <em>Poker Face.<\/em> She plays <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanityfair.com\/hollywood\/story\/cynthia-erivo-felt-totally-insane-playing-multiple-roles-on-poker-face?srsltid=AfmBOoq-x_J8ePtc-ln1TlVdUNbhh2Mm8FvgZVDwLISi97-uI65hWtGl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">five characters simultaneously<\/a> in the episode\u2014a challenge even for someone talented enough to make singing \u201cDefying Gravity\u201d look like a walk in the park.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\">\u201cI\u2019m excited for it to come out,\u201d Erivo said of the <em>Poker Face<\/em> premiere. \u201cI\u2019m excited to sit and watch it, and a little bit nervous.\u201d While she\u2019s adept at playing multiple characters at once, it had been a minute since she\u2019d played a game of poker. \u201cI haven\u2019t played poker in a long time,\u201d she said. \u201cI used to play poker. I used to be quite good it, but I don\u2019t know if I\u2019m good at it now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paywall\"><em>The Practice<\/em>\u2019s <strong>Camryn Manheim<\/strong>, however, was a bit more confident in her poker-playing abilities. \u201cI\u2019m good enough,\u201d she said. \u201cNot only am I patient, but I\u2019m very interested in all the stories people are telling me by their bets. I watch very carefully what the story is of their hand.\u201d Later on in the evening, this writer would lose multiple hands in a row to Manheim at a table that also included <strong>Lake Bell<\/strong> and <em>Showgirls<\/em> star <strong>Gina Gershon<\/strong>.
