Anysphere, the maker of AI-powered coding tool Cursor, has attracted $900 million in a fresh round of funding led by Thrive Capital, Financial Times<\/a> reported, citing anonymous sources familiar with the deal.<\/p>\n Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) and Accel are also participating in the round, which values Anysphere at about $9 billion, the report said.<\/p>\n Earlier in the year, Cursor raised $105 million from Thrive and a16z at a $2.5 billion valuation, TechCrunch<\/a> reported in December. Thrive Capital also led that round, and a16z participated invested as well.<\/p>\n Investors, including Index Ventures and Benchmark, have been falling over themselves<\/a> for a chance to back the company, but it looks like Anysphere\u2019s existing investors don\u2019t want to miss out on a chance to back the company. <\/p>\n Other AI-powered coding startups are also attracting investor interest. In February, TechCrunch reported that Windsurf was in discussions to raise a round at a $3 billion valuation<\/a>. Last month, reports around OpenAI trying to acquire the startup<\/a> at the same value also emerged.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
