The ‘Emily in Paris’ actor confirmed his romance with the ‘Big Little Lies’ star last month, weeks after they were first linked, and now he has given fans a glimpse into their life together.<\/p>\n
Lucas, 37, shared a carousel of photos on Instagram from a visit to Slab City, California, which included pictures of Salvation Mountain and other pieces of art, as well intimate moments of himself and Shailene walking through the desert holding hands, posing for a selfie in cowboy hats and smiling with Sofi Tukker member Sophie Hawley-Weld.<\/p>\n
The post was simply captioned: \u201cHowdy Slab City.\u201d<\/p>\n
Lucas confirmed the relationship on 4 April.<\/p>\n
\nHe told People magazine: \u201cYeah, I’m really happy.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHe and 33-year-old Shailene first sparked speculation they were together when they were photographed out walking in Paris, France. Lucas could be seen smoking a cigarette with his arm around the ‘Divergent’ star, who held his hand.<\/p>\n
\nShailene was previously engaged to Aaron Rodgers and she previously spoke of how she slipped into depression when her romance with the NFL quarterback ended in 2022.<\/p>\n
\nSpeaking to Outside magazine as their Outsider of the Year, Shailene reflected on the “really awful, traumatic thing” that “happened in early 2022,\u201d which the outlet linked to her split from Aaron.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cI felt like I lost my soul, my self, my happiness, my joy. I really understood depression and anxiety and, like, complete soul detachment.<\/p>\n
\n“I knew I was depressed when I looked at a tree and felt nothing. That was the lowest low of my life.”<\/p>\n
\nHer friend, stylist Kris Zero, urged the ‘Fault in Our Stars’ star to stay active, even though sometimes Shailene was “so angry at her” for persisting.<\/p>\n
\nShe continued: “We\u2019d go surf, and for 10 minutes that day I thought life could be okay again.<\/p>\n
\n“Then the depression would come back and she\u2019d go, \u2018We\u2019re volunteering at the horse ranch!\u2019 And we\u2019d find a random f****** horse ranch and we\u2019d clean up horse s***. <\/p>\n
\n“We\u2019d clean hooves and brush the horses, and for 20 minutes that day I thought life could be okay again.<\/p>\n
\n“And then the depression came back, and she\u2019d wake me up the next morning and go, \u2018Let\u2019s go on a hike and bring trash bags and clean up trash!\u2019 \u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe ‘Ferrari’ actress admitted she finds it difficult to talk about her relationship with Aaron because it still makes her emotional.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cI haven\u2019t shared much about my relationship with Aaron because it always makes me cry.<\/p>\n
\n“It was not right. But it was beautiful.\u201d<\/p>\n
