In 2023, George<\/strong><\/a> and Amal Clooney<\/strong><\/a> appeared on CBS Mornings<\/em> and proclaimed they\u2019d never had a fight \u2014 ever. So when the actor, 64, returned to the TV show on April 21 to talk about his Broadway debut in Good Night, and Good Luck<\/em>, host Gayle King<\/strong> was dying to know if he and his human rights lawyer wife, 47, had finally gotten into a marital spat.<\/p>\n \u201cWe still haven\u2019t,\u201d George said sheepishly. \u201cWe\u2019re trying to find something to fight about.\u201d<\/p>\n The internet exploded with people insisting it just wasn\u2019t possible for a couple who wed more than a decade ago \u2014 especially one raising 7-year old twins \u2014 not to bicker. But Susan Winter<\/strong>, a NYC-based relationship expert and creator of the \u201cLove \u00c0 La Carte Method,\u201d has another take.<\/p>\n \u201cAlthough unusual, it\u2019s not impossible,\u201d she tells Life & Style<\/em>. \u201cIf there\u2019s clear communication and open dialogue, that allows for differences of opinion but does not culminate in a \u2018fight.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n That\u2019s how the Clooneys roll, according to those who know them.<\/p>\n \u201cGeorge and Amal communicate very well,\u201d confirms an insider. \u201cThey avoid speaking out of turn or making rash comments to hurt the other person. After discussing it, George and Amal made arrangements to temporarily relocate the family to the Big Apple. Says the insider, \u201cThey talk things out and always consider the other\u2019s needs.\u201d<\/p>\n George feels his marital bliss is because he met his spouse when he was older.<\/p>\n \u201cI started so late with Amal,\u201d he told CBS Mornings<\/em>. \u201cI feel so extraordinarily lucky to have met this incredible woman. There isn\u2019t a day that goes by where I don\u2019t think I\u2019m the luckiest man in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n According to Winter, who hasn\u2019t worked with the duo, he\u2019s onto something.<\/p>\n \u201cWith maturity comes the ability for greater self-awareness and emotional regulation,\u201d she says. \u201cAnd George continually refers to the fact that he\u2019s \u2018lucky\u2019 to have met Amal. His respect and admiration for her are evident. And when a partner deeply respects and admires their mate, there is far less conflict.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
