Notably absent from the group gathering was <\/span>Prince William<\/b><\/a>. The future king, 42, reportedly spent the weekend with wife <\/span>Princess Kate Middleton<\/b>, 43, and their three children \u2014 <\/span>Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7<\/span><\/a> \u2014\u00a0 at their country home, Anmer Hall, in Norfolk. According to <\/span>Hello!<\/span><\/i>, the family quietly marked the holiday by joining Kate\u2019s parents Michael and Carole Middleton, for Sunday services at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham.<\/p>\n It\u2019s just the latest instance of William following a different path from his father\u2019s. \u201cCelebrating\u00a0 Easter with the Middletons<\/span><\/a> is a sign William is going his own way,\u201d an insider exclusively tells <\/span>Life & Style<\/span><\/i>. \u201cHe has made it no secret that he intends to do things differently when he\u2019s king. He wants less pomp and circumstance.\u201d<\/p>\n Taking a cue from his mum, the late Princess Diana, William aims to be more approachable as a monarch. \u201cForget that he went to church with his in-laws \u2014 William visited a common pub with Carole last year while Kate was undergoing cancer treatments<\/span><\/a>,\u201d says the insider. \u201cHe\u2019s just more\u00a0 down-to-earth than his father ever was.<\/span> William plans to continue doing philanthropic work<\/span><\/a> that will make a difference in the world, and he wants to engage directly with the public and be relatable to his generation. The switch is especially eyebrow-raising since the Prince of Wales\u2019 new legal eagles are the same ones who represented Diana in her 1996 divorce from Charles.
