Donald Trump<\/a>.<\/p>\nSpeaking about the fallout, she told Variety: “This feels different, because when I came out against Walmart carrying guns [in a 1996 song], not everybody was armed \u2014 and certainly I didn\u2019t live in Tennessee, where everybody is armed.<\/p>\n
“So yeah, there was a moment where I actually really felt very afraid: A man got on my property, in my barn, who was armed.<\/p>\n
“It doesn\u2019t feel safe when you\u2019re dealing with people who are so committed.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nDespite the scary situation, the ‘Soak Up The Sun’ hitmaker admitted she would still post the same video again if she had the chance.<\/p>\n
\nSheryl added: \u201cI can\u2019t help it. I feel like I\u2019m fighting for my kids. Also, that\u2019s the way I was raised.<\/p>\n
\n“There have been times when it hasn\u2019t really been fun, but I follow my Atticus Finch dad; I\u2019m very similar to him if I see something that seems unfair, you know?\u201d<\/p>\n
\nMeanwhile, Sheryl is still “so vigilant about climate change”, which goes back to her own upbringing.<\/p>\n
\nShe recalled: \u201cMy parents said, \u2018You need to leave the campground nicer than you found it,\u2019 and we always did.<\/p>\n
\n“When we camped, we picked up trash that wasn\u2019t ours, and when I take my kids to the beach, we all three pick up people\u2019s cigarette butts or plastic bottles.”<\/p>\n
\nShe argued that the earth “is being disregarded, particular by [the Trump] administration”, and she is backing national advocacy group Natural Resources Defense Council.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cLet\u2019s face it: I may not be here to see my kids teach their kids how to leave the campground nicer than they found it.<\/p>\n
\n“And who knows what the campground\u2019s gonna be like when they get it. That concerns me.\u201d<\/p>\n
