Teddi Mellencamp<\/strong> <\/a>has shared a reflective update on her cancer battle,<\/a> admitting she \u201ccried\u201d when she first saw her scars from surgery.<\/p>\n

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills<\/em> alum, 43, shared photos of her surgery scars and hair regrowth via her Instagram account<\/a> on Monday, April 28. Alongside the post, she shared a reflective and candid caption.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been 76 days since I went to the ER with unbearable headaches and quickly found out I had multiple stage 4 tumors \u201cthe size of plums\u201d in my brain and lungs. Melanoma had metastasized there and been there for \u201c6 months to a year\u201d and we had no clue,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cSince that day, I have had multiple surgeries, had rage from the steroids, felt very sick, laughed a ton, ridden horses, loved on my kids and felt great. When I first looked at this picture, at the scars on my head and my arm, I cried. Then, I felt a warmness rush through my body and felt so much peace. Peace from the incredible support system I have in my family and friends. Peace from the outpouring of love from y\u2019all on here. Peace in knowing my story could help somebody save their life.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum explained that after getting a CT scan and an MRI, \u201cDoctors [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Mellencamp then concluded the post by sending well wishes to anyone else struggling with a similar health battle.<\/p>\n

\u201cSending love to anyone struggling and reminding you if something isn\u2019t feeling right to go get checked. Advocate for yourself,\u201d she wrote, adding, \u201cWe have got this. \ud83d\udc95\u201d<\/p>\n

Mellencamp publicly shared news of her brain tumor discovery<\/a> via an Instagram post in February. She revealed that she had been suffering from \u201csevere and debilitating headaches\u201d for weeks, and one day earlier, \u201cthe pain was unbearable and required hospitalization.\u201d<\/p>\n

After getting a CT scan and an MRI, Mellencamp explained that \u201cdoctors found multiple tumors on my brain, which they believe have been growing for at least six months.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mellencamp added that two of the tumors would be \u201csurgically removed\u201d that day, while the \u201cremaining smaller tumors will be dealt with via radiation at a later date.\u201d<\/p>\n

After undergoing surgery, Mellencamp shared several weeks later that five more tumors<\/a> had been found.<\/p>\n
