Health and wellness influencer Janelle Rohner<\/strong> has been using a GLP-1 medication to lose weight.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cThis isn\u2019t easy to say, but I owe it to you to be honest. Janelle Rohner is microdosing a GLP-1,\u201d Rohner, 37, wrote in a YouTube<\/a> description for a Wednesday, April 23, video. \u201cI\u2019ve quietly been working on my mental health, trying to find peace in the chaos. I know sharing this might open me up to judgment, but hiding it would mean losing the most important thing: my truth.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cI\u2019m not perfect, but l\u2019m healing, and I hope that means something to someone out there who\u2019s struggling too.\u201d<\/p>\n

A GLP-1, such as Ozempic or Wegovy, is commonly prescribed to adults with weight-related conditions such as diabetes. Many doctors, however, caution against using<\/a> the medication for casual weight loss, despite a growing celebrity trend.<\/p>\n

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star sparked speculation about using the drug after she debuted her slimmed-down figure in January 2023 via a bikini selfie. Richards then opened up about how her decision to cut back on alcohol [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In her YouTube video, Rohner explained her decision to start taking the controversial weight loss drug.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you\u2019ve been following me for a while, you know that I\u2019ve tried it all [from] keto, macro, workouts [and lifestyle shifts,\u201d she said. \u201cOver the last year, I have decided to make some new choices in my health. I started working with a doctor, and we did decide to add a GLP-1 to my plan. GLP-1s are not magic, [and] they don\u2019t change your lifestyle overnight. It\u2019s just a tool to help; I still had to show up<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Rohner, she supplemented her dosage with working out, tracking meals and drinking plenty of water.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tOzempic has become a hot topic when it comes to weight loss \u2014 with some stars confirming they have used the drug while others denied it. Chelsea Handler admitted during a January 2023 episode of the \u201cCall Her Daddy\u201d podcast that she unknowingly took the Type 2 diabetes medication, which is traditionally used to improve [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201c[Taking a GLP-1] just helped me regain a sense of control, and it\u2019s something that I don\u2019t want to be ashamed of,\u201d Rohner stressed. \u201cI don\u2019t think other women or men, who are using this tool should feel ashamed either because if there\u2019s a tool out there that can help with your mental and physical health, you deserve to explore that without feeling guilty.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rohner started by using full doses of the GLP-1, which she said helped her shed the \u201cstubborn 10 to 15 pounds\u201d<\/a> that weren\u2019t coming off.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was happy,\u201d she added. \u201cI switched to microdosing for maintenance, and I would, maybe, do a microdose once a month. I also paired those new lifestyle changes with something that was a real game changer for me \u2014 I started seeing a therapist regularly.\u201d<\/p>\n
