Dustin Lynch<\/strong> is revealing all of the costs that come with appearing on live television, especially with late-night programs and award shows.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love the award shows,\u201d Lynch, 39, said during the Monday, April 27, episode of the \u201cTrading Secrets\u201d<\/a> podcast, but added, \u201cYou don\u2019t get paid, not directly.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAwards shows cost a lot of money to be a part of them,\u201d Lynch continued. \u201cI\u2019m not picking out what I\u2019m wearing on a red carpet, you know? So, I\u2019m paying stylists, I\u2019m paying whatever that suit costs to wear. Hair and makeup if you\u2019re on TV, that\u2019s a must. And then you\u2019ve got, for me, I\u2019m paying a security guy whatever airfare and hotel. Ground transportation.\u201d<\/p>\n

The \u201cParty Mode\u201d singer went on to say that it was the \u201csame with late night television\u201d in terms of cost Lynch has performed on late night shows such as Conan<\/em> and Jimmy Kimmel Live!<\/em> as well as morning shows like Today<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tMorgan Wallen got candid about how he\u2019s not thrilled with some aspects of being famous just days after his controversial early exit from Saturday Night Live. \u201cIt\u2019s still weird, and there\u2019s parts of [fame] that I don\u2019t like,\u201d the country singer, 31, said during the Wednesday, April 2, episode of Theo Von\u2019s \u201cLast Weekend\u201d podcast. [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cLate night television costs an arm and a leg,\u201d Lynch explained. \u201cMorning television costs an arm and a leg. It\u2019s all marketing expenses. Back in the day, when we were playing late night TV, it was like $30,000-$35,000 out of pocket.\u201d<\/p>\n

While performers don\u2019t have to pay to get on these shows, it still presents multiple expenses for the artist to pay themselves. However, Lynch said he \u201cfor sure\u201d sees a return on the investment, though it doesn\u2019t happen right away.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s building blocks,\u201d the country star explained. \u201cUnless you\u2019re Chris Stapleton<\/strong> \u2014 if you have a Stapleton moment at the CMAs [in 2015] where he literally changed the face of country music and his life with \u2018Tennessee Whiskey.\u2019 That performance? That one worked. But I think it\u2019s building blocks through the years. Reminding fans that you exist, which in this day and age is impossible to do. There\u2019s so much traffic out there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lynch went on to say, \u201cJust like any company. We\u2019re selling a product,\u201d adding, \u201cThese moments and these awards shows are great ways to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cWho watches awards shows? You know, the audience skews a little older, the audience is very engaged with who\u2019s on that show. And I know for a fact that all of our super fans are watching those award shows. So, they\u2019re big deals.\u201d<\/p>\n
