It seems like Ryan Reynolds<\/strong><\/a> and Rob McElhenney<\/strong><\/a> have a (not-so-friendly) rivalry on their hands with Tom Brady<\/strong><\/a> in Welcome to Wrexham<\/em><\/a> season 4.<\/p>\n \u201cBermingham FC, they have Tom Brady. He\u2019s not playing, thank God,\u201d Reynolds, 48, quipped in the Welcome to Wrexham<\/em> season 4 trailer, which dropped on Monday, April 28. \u201cIs he allowed to play?\u201d<\/p>\n Reynolds and McElhenney, 48, became co-owners of Wales\u2019 Wrexham football club (that\u2019s soccer in America) in 2020. Brady, 47, has since followed suit, becoming minority owner of the Birmingham team in 2023.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s a friendly competition, well not-so-friendly,\u201d Brady confirmed in the trailer. It seems the former NFL star will also come face-to-face with McElhenney at one point in the season.<\/p>\n One clip from the trailer showed Brady reacting to a joke McElhenney made in season 1 of It\u2019s Always Sunny in Philadelphia<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cMaybe break his arm,\u201d McElhenney says as Mac in the show. Costar Kaitlin Olson<\/strong> as Dee responds, \u201cYou can\u2019t break Tom Brady\u2019s arm.\u201d<\/p>\n McElhenney was all smiles while looking back at the scene but Brady, maybe, didn\u2019t find it too funny. (McElhenney is famously a Philadelphia Eagles fan<\/a> while Brady played for the New England Patriots for nearly 20 years.)<\/p>\n \u201cWhat\u2019s wrong with you?\u201d the former football star asked.<\/p>\n Celebrity rivalry aside, Welcome to Wrexham<\/em> season 4 will follow the Wrexham football club as they play in League One \u2014 and attempt to get promoted for the third year in a row.<\/p>\n Spoiler alert, the team was promoted<\/a> from League One to the Sky Bet Championship League for the first time in 40 years on Saturday, April 26.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve been with Wrexham for what seems like the blink of an eye, but so much has happened,\u201d Reynolds captioned an Instagram post<\/a> on Saturday. \u201cI remember the first press conference, we were asked what our goals were \u2026 and I think Rob jumped in with, \u2018The Premiere League.\u2019 People laughed. They had every right to. It seemed insane\u2026 But we weren\u2019t kidding.\u201d<\/p>\n
