Francis Ford Coppola<\/strong><\/a> received a big honor this weekend!<\/p>\n

The 86-year-old legendary filmmaker was honored with the 50th annual AFI Lifetime Achievement Award<\/em>, which is given to someone \u201cwhose talent has in a fundamental way advanced the film art; whose accomplishment has been acknowledged by scholars, critics, professional peers and the general public\u2019 and whose work has stood the test of time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Several stars stepped out to help honor Francis<\/strong> at the award ceremony held at Dolby Theatre on Saturday (April 26) in Hollywood, including Harrison Ford<\/strong><\/a>, Elle Fanning<\/strong><\/a> and Josh Groban<\/strong><\/a>, who performed during the event. <\/p>\n

Francis<\/strong> also got support from some of his family members, including son Roman Coppola<\/strong>, granddaughter Gia Coppola<\/strong><\/a> and her beau Honor Titus<\/strong><\/a>, nephew Robert Schwartzman<\/strong><\/a> and wife Zoey Grossman<\/strong>, and nephew Matthew Shire<\/strong> and his wife Kate Gersten<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>\n

Among those hitting the stage to speak about Francis Ford Coppola<\/strong> include Morgan Freeman<\/strong><\/a>, Steven Spielberg<\/strong><\/a>, Spike Lee<\/strong><\/a>, Dustin Hoffman<\/strong><\/a>, Diane Lane<\/strong><\/a>, Robert De Niro<\/strong><\/a>, Al Pacino<\/strong><\/a>, Adam Driver<\/strong><\/a>, George Lucas<\/strong><\/a>, Ralph Macchio<\/strong><\/a>, C Thomas Howell<\/strong><\/a> and Harrison Ford<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>\n
