Now, fans are wondering if Jax actually stayed in rehab for the full 30 days.<\/p>\n During the summer of 2024, Jax completed a 30-day stay in a rehab facility after his split from Brittany<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cJax has always been candid about his mental health struggles, especially during the past few months on his podcast,\u201d a rep for the former Vanderpump Rules<\/em> star said in a statement to E! News<\/em><\/a> on July 30, 2024, shortly after he began his stay. \u201cThis is a particularly sensitive time for him and his family. They ask for privacy and respect until he is ready to speak more on this matter.\u201d<\/p>\n He completed his stay the following month, and his spokesperson issued a statement regarding his time spent in the facility.<\/p>\n \u201cJax has spent the last 30 days in treatment and will be heading back home later this week,\u201d Jax\u2019s rep told People<\/em><\/a> on August 20, 2024. \u201cIt\u2019s been an emotional month for him and he\u2019s most looking forward to spending time with his son.\u201d<\/p>\n The Villains<\/em> star opened up about his stay at the in-patient facility and shortly after he returned home, he revealed that he had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and PTSD.<\/p>\n \u201cA little over a month ago, I checked into an intensive inpatient treatment facility scared of the unknown and what I would find out about myself,\u201d Jax wrote in an emotional message via Instagram<\/a> on September 2, 2024. \u201cAfter many years of knowing something was wrong but not knowing exactly what it was, I recently learned that I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder and PTSD. It\u2019s been a lot to process and an emotional time for me, however I\u2019ve come home to my son with a new found sense of peace.\u201d<\/p>\n Along with thanking people who \u201creached out in support,\u201d Jax added that while he was \u201cscared for the future,\u201d he was trying to be a \u201cbetter version of himself.\u201d<\/p>\n Jax got candid about his substance issues following his stay in rehab, and the Florida native admitted that he struggled with cocaine addiction<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI am an addict,\u201d Jax\u00a0declared during an appearance on Bravo\u2019s \u201cHot Mic<\/a>\u201d podcast on March 4, 2025. \u201cI have substance issues \u2014 primarily with cocaine. It\u2019s hard to say out loud. I\u2019ve been dealing with this on and off since I was 23 and now I\u2019m 45. There were times where I would stop doing it but then there were times where I\u2019d go heavy on it.\u201d<\/p>\n He continued, \u201cI\u2019ve never said this in my life. So to come out and say that I have an addiction [and] that I have a sickness that I have to work on the rest of my life is a really big deal for me.
