The Voice Kids<\/em> alum Karen Silva<\/strong> has died after a hemorrhagic stroke. She was 17.<\/p>\n

Silva\u2019s death was announced \u201cwith deep sadness\u201d via a statement on her official Instagram account<\/a> on Thursday, April 24.<\/p>\n

The teenager first shot into the spotlight when she appeared on The Voice<\/a> Kids<\/em> in 2020 when she was just 12 years old. While Silva did not win the music competition during her season, she made it to the semi-finals round.<\/p>\n

In the post announcing the news of Silva\u2019s death,<\/a> it was explained that she had been hospitalized at S\u00e3o Jo\u00e3o Batista Hospital, in Volta Redonda, following a hemorrhagic stroke. It was here she passed away.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tUPDATE, 8\/20\/24 at 11:55 a.m. ET: TikTok star Kyle Marisa Roth\u2019s cause of death has been revealed four months after her April death. Roth\u2019s death was caused by a cardiac arrhythmia due to myocardial fibrosis, according to Maryland\u2019s Chief Medical Examiner\u2019s report, which was obtained by TMZ on Tuesday, August 20. The publication also reported [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cKaren enchanted Brazil with her powerful voice and striking presence even in childhood, when she participated in The Voice Kids in 2020,\u201d the post, which was written in Portuguese, read. \u201cSince then, she has followed a luminous path, uniting talent, charisma and representation at every step.\u201d<\/p>\n

The post went on to describe Silva as an inspiration for others during her short life.<\/p>\n

\u201cMore than an up-and-coming artist, Karen was a symbol of empowerment, especially for Black girls who found in her inspiration and strength to dream. Her music, her message and her joy leave a deep mark on all who met her and followed her journey,\u201d the post continued.<\/p>\n

It concluded: \u201cIn this moment of great pain, we send our solidarity to their parents, Manoella and Fernando, with friends, family and fans. May the memory of your light continue to guide us.\u201d<\/p>\n

Several days earlier on Monday April 21, another post shared via Silva\u2019s Instagram account<\/a>\u00a0 and also written in Portuguese revealed that the singer was battling some serious health issues.<\/p>\n
