\t\t<\/p>\n Luigi Mangione<\/strong><\/a> went to court on Friday (April 25) to officially enter his plea in the federal case after being accused of killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. <\/p>\n The 26-year-old reportedly wore a beige prison jumpsuit for his arraignment, according to CNN<\/a><\/em>, where he plead not guilty to all federal charges against him. <\/p>\n Last week, Luigi<\/strong> was indicted<\/a> on charges of murder, two counts of stalking and a firearms offense.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Previously, Donald Trump<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s Attorney General Pam Bondi <\/strong>has \u201cdirected federal prosecutors<\/a>\u201d to seek the death penalty for Luigi<\/strong>. <\/p>\n During Friday\u2019s hearing, Luigi<\/strong>\u2018s attorney Karen Friedman Agnifilo<\/strong> stated she will ask for the federal trial to start first, \u201cciting the Justice Department\u2019s announcement a day earlier that it intends to seek capital punishment for his top federal charge \u2013 murder through use of a firearm.\u201d<\/p>\n His next hearing in the federal case will not be until December 5th, when the trial date will be set. This trial is expected to begin in 2026 according to Judge Margaret Garnett<\/strong>. <\/p>\n Luigi<\/strong> also faces state charges in New York where the alleged murder took place, which he has also plead not guilty<\/a> to, and in Pennsylvania, where he was arrested.
