Billy Ray Cyrus<\/a> thinks Elizabeth Hurley is a “great human being”.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus recently went public with their romance<\/p>\n
The 63-year-old musician and the 59-year-old actress recently debuted their relationship on social media, and Billy Ray has now revealed how their romance has evolved, recalling how they met while filming 2022’s ‘Christmas in Paradise’ movie.<\/p>\n
In a clip from ‘The Ty Bentli Show’ – which has been shared with People – Billy Ray said: “We did very few scenes together but the couple times we were in the same scene there was a chemistry there. We just laughed, and it was at a time I wasn\u2019t laughing a lot.<\/p>\n
“The oddest part was first, how much we laughed. Second, I figured we were so different but in some very strange way we had way more in common than we had different.”<\/p>\n
Despite this, the celebrity duo didn’t actually speak to each other for two years after shooting the movie.<\/p>\n
\nBut Elizabeth reentered Billy Ray’s life when he was at one of his lowest ebbs, following his split from his wife Tish Cyrus.<\/p>\n
\nHe shared: “I felt like, \u2018Wow, can life get any harder? Can it get any tougher?\u2019 For me, at a certain point it was like, you can\u2019t get knocked down any flatter than laying on your back when life is kicking you. And in this moment … a friend reached out.”<\/p>\n
\nBilly Ray didn’t actually recognise the number but her text message proved to be a turning point.<\/p>\n
\nHe recalled: “I text back, I go, \u2018Who is this?\u2019 And it\u2019s like, \u2018Elizabeth Hurley.\u2019 Of all the people to reach out to me in that second that maybe I needed most \u2026 this friend who made me laugh.”<\/p>\n
\nBilly Ray and Elizabeth have developed a strong bond over recent months, and the musician is now convinced that they can overcome any challenge together.<\/p>\n
\nThe ‘Achy Breaky Heart’ hitmaker also heaped praise on Elizabeth, describing her as “impressively brilliant”.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: “If all we ever were [is] the friends that we are, I would take that. She\u2019s so impressively brilliant. She reminds me a lot of Dolly Parton. She\u2019s a very smart businesswoman.<\/p>\n
\n“If you can laugh together, you can make it through everything.”<\/p>\n
