\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Stanley Tucci<\/strong><\/a> is looking back at his battle with cancer.<\/p>\n If you forgot, the 62-year-old Citadel<\/em> actor secretly battled cancer after he was first diagnosed in 2018.<\/p>\n In September 2021, Stanley<\/strong> said that he was diagnosed with a tumor at the base of his tongue<\/a> and since it was \u201ctoo big to operate on,\u201d he ended up receiving \u201chigh-dose radiation and chemo.\u201d<\/p>\n In a new interview, Stanley<\/strong> opened up about his \u201cbrutal\u201d battle, and revealed how much weight he lost during treatment.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIt was terrifying. My first wife [Kate Spath-Tucci] died of cancer. So when I got it, I was completely shocked,\u201d Stanley<\/strong> shared during an appearance on Sunday Today<\/a><\/em>. \u201cAnd luckily, it hadn\u2019t metastasized, but the treatments were brutal. I lost 35 pounds and couldn\u2019t eat. I had a feeding tube for six months and everything tasted like you-know-what and smelled like you-know-what.\u201d<\/p>\n For those who don\u2019t know, Stanley<\/strong>\u2018s first wife Kate<\/strong> passed away in 2009 at the age of 47 following a battle with breast cancer. \u201cI was so afraid but Felicity was very persistent and had to drag me kicking and screaming,\u201d Stanley<\/strong> said. \u201cI wouldn\u2019t be around if I hadn\u2019t done that.\u201d<\/p>\n In another recent interview, Stanley<\/strong> revealed the one role he would never play again<\/a> \u2013 even though it earned him an Oscar nomination!<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
