The Voice<\/em><\/a> season 27 is winding down, but contestants must still make it through the playoffs before they can get to the live shows in May 2025. Many fans were confused when a recap episode, titled \u201cRoad to the Playoffs,\u201d aired on April 21, 2025<\/a>, instead of an episode with new performances from the remaining singers led by coaches Kelsea Ballerini<\/strong>, Michael Bubl\u00e9<\/strong>, Adam Levine<\/strong> and John Legend<\/strong>. Thankfully, it won\u2019t be a long wait for the season to continue.<\/p>\n This season\u2019s playoffs will air on NBC on April 28, 2025, from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET. Fans will also be able to watch a recap episode on April 29, 2025, from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. ET. And for those who do not have cable, new episodes of The Voice<\/em> are also available to stream the next day on Peacock.<\/p>\n There will be a second and final episode of playoffs airing on May 5, 2025, from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET on NBC. Again, fans can watch a recap the following day or stream the episode on Peacock.<\/p>\n The Voice season 27 playoffs will see the remaining 20 artists perform for the coaches with songs of their own choosing. They\u2019ll be mentored by two \u201cmega mentors\u201d \u2014 LeAnn Rimes<\/strong> and Sheryl Crow<\/strong> \u2014 who have both previously appeared within The Voice<\/em> franchise. Sheryl performed during The Voice<\/em> season 8 live finale, while LeAnn served as a coach on both The Voice U.K.<\/em> and The Voice Australia<\/em>.<\/p>\n LeAnn is set to assist Adam\u2019s and John\u2019s teams, while Sheryl will mentor Kelsea\u2019s and Michael\u2019s teams. Each episode of the playoffs will see two full teams perform. After the performances, the coaches will each select just two of their artists to advance to the live shows for a total of eight finalists. This format was previously done in season 26 and season 23.<\/p>\n The live shows will kick off on NBC on May 12, 2025, from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET, with performances from the top 8 artists. At this point, The Voice<\/em> will add in Tuesday night episodes to share the results from audience votes, which fans can submit via The Voice<\/em> app or NBC\u2019s website.<\/p>\n The live two-part finale will then air on May 19, 2025, and May 20, 2025, with performances from the top 5 finalists, as well as special guests.
