Jason Biggs<\/strong><\/a> is getting real about his recent weight loss.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had some cholesterol issues,\u201d Biggs, 46, told Page Six<\/em><\/a> when attending an event in New York City on Tuesday, April 22. \u201cProbably because of the \u2026 ice cream pints I would knock back.\u201d<\/p>\n

The American Pie alum noted that it took \u201ca while\u201d to get his health in check. His cholesterol has since gone down \u201c70 points\u201d following a new diet and exercise regimen.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been a journey,\u201d Biggs added. His transformation took more than one year.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tOzempic has become a hot topic when it comes to weight loss \u2014 with some stars confirming they have used the drug while others denied it. Chelsea Handler admitted during a January 2023 episode of the \u201cCall Her Daddy\u201d podcast that she unknowingly took the Type 2 diabetes medication, which is traditionally used to improve [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

While chatting with the Daily Mail<\/em><\/a> at the same event, Biggs noted that \u201cstress\u201d was also a factor when it came to shedding the weight.<\/p>\n

\u201cA part of it was, I directed my first movie,\u201d he said. \u201cProbably the most stressed I\u2019ve ever been in my life, professionally anyway. So that contributed a little bit.\u201d<\/p>\n

Biggs starred in and directed the upcoming film Getaway<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was just so much adrenaline and rushed and the schedule and stuff,\u201d the actor continued, noting that \u201chealthier food\u201d and bike riding were also major life changes that he made.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know if it was this much, but I wanted to lose weight<\/a>,\u201d Biggs added, bringing up his cholesterol levels again \u2014 which he emphasized needed to be lowered.<\/p>\n

During his conversation with the Daily Mail<\/em>, the topic of Ozempic<\/a> also came up. Biggs, who has been sober since 2017<\/a>, said he\u2019d be open to using the injectable for something other than weight loss.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve actually heard \u2014 because I\u2019m sober alcoholic \u2014 I heard it has benefits for that, which would make sense,\u201d he explained. \u201cIt helps cravings because it\u2019s sort of the same part of the brain, I guess.\u201d<\/p>\n

Richards then opened up about how her decision to cut back on alcohol [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Biggs noted that it \u201cmakes sense\u201d that the drug, which is generally prescribed for those with diabetes, would help with addiction struggles.<\/p>\n
