\t\t<\/p>\n Tina Knowles<\/strong><\/a> has revealed that she battled breast cancer.<\/p>\n The 71-year-old mom to Beyonce<\/strong><\/a> and Solange<\/strong><\/a> was diagnosed with stage 1 cancer in her left breast last July after missing a previous mammogram appointment.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI forgot that I didn\u2019t go to get my test two years before I thought I had because Covid came and they called me and canceled me and they said, we\u2019ll call you when we start testing again. And I just thought I had done it. So you cannot play around with that,\u201d she told People<\/a>, urging women to go get their schedule mammograms done.<\/p>\n \u201cI struggled with whether I would share that journey because I\u2019m very private. But I decided to share it because I think it\u2019s a lot of lessons in it for other women. And I think as women, sometimes we get so busy and we get so wrapped up and running around, but you must go get your test. Because if I had not gotten my test early, I mean, I shudder to think what could have happened to me,\u201d she shared.<\/p>\n In her book \u201cMatriarch,\u201d<\/a> Tina <\/strong>shared Beyonce<\/strong>\u2018s reaction to the news: she \u201ctook it well, staying positive, and I could already feel her mind racing, focusing on this as a task to tackle with precision.\u201d <\/p>\n Solange <\/strong>said, \u201cMom, we are going to take care of this.\u201d<\/p>\n Kelly Rowland<\/strong><\/a> and her niece Angie Beyince<\/strong> were also there for her, sharing, \u201cMy girls became my team.\u201d <\/p>\n She underwent surgery to remove the tumor and is now cancer free!<\/p>\n \u201cCancer-free and incredibly blessed that God allowed me to find it early,\u201d she said. \u201cI didn\u2019t know that there was a stage 0. I could have caught this at stage 0 if I had not missed my mammogram.
