The Bloodline storyline is a major part of WWE lore \u2014 and Roman Reigns<\/strong> is arguably at the center of it all.<\/p>\n Reigns \u2014 born Leati Joseph Anoa\u02bbi and known as the \u201cOriginal Tribal Chief\u201d \u2014 is a member of the legendary Anoa\u2019i family, a group that has birthed a slew of pro wrestlers dating back to the 1960s. The family was founded by Peter Maivia<\/strong> and Amituana\u2019i Anoa\u2019i<\/strong>, two close friends who established a blood oath to merge their respective families into one, you guessed it, bloodline.<\/p>\n Since then, the family has shifted and grown and spawned dozens of brothers, sisters, cousins and other other famous relatives who have graced the world of professional wrestling to varying degrees of success. As such, they often refer to each other as cousins. Dwayne\u2019s grandfather Peter Maivia<\/strong> is the brother of Reign\u2019s grandfather Amituana\u2019i Anoa\u2019i<\/strong>. The duo also starred in Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw<\/em>.<\/p>\n Maiva was a professional wrestler and stunt actor who made a blood pact with his friend, Amituana\u2019i Anoa\u2019i, to blend their families together. He made his professional wrestling debut in 1960 and joined the now-defunct World Wrestling Federation (WWF) in 1977. His wife, Ofelia Fuataga<\/strong>, was one of the first pro wrestling female promoters. Though he and Anoa\u2019i were not biologically related, he is considered a full family member.<\/p>\n Pola\u2019ivao Leati Sika Amituana\u2019i Anoa\u2019i<\/strong>, known in the wrestling world as Sika<\/strong>, was one-half of the Wild Samoans wrestling team with his brother Afa<\/strong>. He joined the WWF in 1980. Anoa\u2019i died of a heart attack on June 25, 2024.<\/p>\n Simone is the first daughter of Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia<\/strong>. She made her first televised appearance as a pro wrestler in October 2022 and her first in-ring appearance in April of the following year. As of January 2024, she works as the General Manager of NXT, a developmental brand of WWE.<\/p>\n Solofa Fatu, Jr.,<\/strong> who wrestles under the name Rikishi<\/strong>, is also a cousin of Reigns. He is the brother of Sam Fatu<\/strong> and Edward Smith Fatu<\/strong>, who wrestles under the name Umaga<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Fanene, who is known as Nia Jax<\/strong> in the ring, is a distant cousin of Reigns. She began wrestling in 2014 and first wrestled under the name Fada. He trained with his cousin Matt Anoa\u2019i<\/strong> at the Wild Samoan professional wrestling school and made his wrestling debut in 1995.<\/p>\n Agatupu Rodney Anoa\u2019i<\/strong>, or Yokozuna<\/strong>, was a pro wrestler for the WWF. His cousins included Reigns and The Rock. Yokozuna died in his sleep from a pulmonary edema in October 2000.<\/p>\n Reigns met his wife, Galina Becker<\/strong>, when they were both students at the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2007.
